Féile na nGael 2017
Féile na nGael 2017 is here!! This weekend our U14 footballers will take part in Division 5 of the John West Féile Peile na nÓg weekend from Friday, 23rd to Sunday, 25th June hosting Ardfert from Co. Kerry. The U14 lady footballers - as Castlerahan/Denn - host Claregalway from Co. Galway.
As part of fundraising efforts, the boys' club has use of the local blotto for the next four weeks and your support would be greatly appreciated. Tickets are sold at a number of businesses around Ballyjamesduff throughout the week and on Saturday from 10am to 2pm at the following locations: Greene's Pharmacy, Gala, Centra and Skelly's Mace. They will also be available in pubs around the town on Saturday nights. The jackpot currently stands at a cool €10,000! Tickets cost €2 each or three for €5.

Kelloggs Cúl Camps
Kelloggs Cúl Camps will be held from 3rd to 7th July in Fay Park. The aim of the camp is to provide boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 13 with an action packed and fun filled week of activity during the summer holidays. This will revolve around maximising enjoyment and sustaining participant involvement in Gaelic Games.

Funshine Summer Camp
Let the fun begin! Funshine Summer Camp takes place in Castlerahan Community Centre from June 26th to 30th and Fay Park from July 17th to 21st. The camp is for children aged from 5 to 12 and the camp hours are 10.00am to 2.30pm each day. Activities include Gaelic football, obstacle courses, art and crafts, dodgeball and lots more! Senior Team
Our Senior team had a successful trip to Mullahoran last Friday evening (16th June) where they defeated the host team in round 9 of the ACFL Division 1. Final score Castlerahan 4-8 to Mullahoran 0-9. Training continues each week in preparation for the Championship. Our campaign continues in the ACFL Division 1 when we play Arva at home in round 7. Date and time to be confirmed.
Reserve
The Reserve team will host Lacken in the first round of the Championship on Wednesday 28th June at 8.00pm.
Minor
Our Minor team continue their preparations for the Minor League Division 3 Final against Mullahoran on Saturday 1st July at 5.00pm. Location is yet to be confirmed. Training continues each week for the big day and the lads are working really hard. Get the maroon and white jerseys ready for what promises to be a great game of football!
U16
Training continues every Monday night at 8.00pm in preparation for the upcoming Championship in July.
U14
Our U14 team are having a fantastic run at the moment. The lads travelled to Drung last Tuesday evening (13th June) for round 7 of the Division 3 League where they had a great win over St. Finbarr's. Final score Castlerahan 10-23 to St. Finbarr's 5-16. Next round sees the lads travelling to Kingscourt. Keep up the good work lads!
U12
Our U12's played host for a challenge game against Inny Gaels from Co. Meath last Saturday. Both teams were evenly matched in this great game!
Our U12 players also had the fantastic opportunity to be trained by some of our senior players last Thursday night (15th June). The coaching session proved to be a great experience for the up and coming players and a lot of skills and expertise were handed on!!
Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings each week with the summer league due to start on 4th of July. We are hoping to enter two teams so everyone will be participating.
U8 and U10
Our U8's and U10's travelled to Virginia last Saturday morning for Go Games against Ramor Utd. A great day of football was had by all! Training continues on Saturday mornings at 10.30am.
U6
Our Rahan Raiders welcomed neighbours Crosserlough Bumblebees to Fay Park last Saturday morning, with local rivalries still strong our U6's had great fun and the games ended in a draw. Congratulations to this week's star James McCabe. Big thanks to Crosserlough for travelling to Fay Park and to all parents and referees who helped out on the day. A great day of football was had by all! The Rahan Raiders continue training every Saturday morning from 10.45am to 11.45am on RSJ Astroturf.
