Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 15th May. The winning numbers were 1,2,3,15. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Hughie McSherry, George Allen c/o Feel Good Cycles, Virginia, Bernie Lynch, Patrick Gaffney, Caroline & Seamus Donohoe. The next draw will be on Monday 22nd May in The Tank. Jackpot is now €3,500.

ACFL Division 2
Denn defeated Swanlinbar in Round 7 of the ACFL Division 2 League on Saturday evening last on a 3-15 to 2-11 scoreline. Round 8 v Drumalee was due to be played on Saturday 20th May, however Cavan County Board have postponed this round of fixtures "due to concerns over the  growing number of injuries within the County Senior Panel and the unavailability of a significant number of County Players to their Clubs at the present time. Round 9 v  Shercock is due to be played in O'Hagan Park, Shercock at 7pm on Saturday 27th May.

Underage Competitions
Under 16
Denn were defeated in their Under 16 Division 2 Round 7 game against Ballyhaise on Monday evening last. However despite this defeat the team will play Balackwater Gaels in a playoff for the last semi-final place on Sunday evening, 21st May at 6pm in Killinkere.
Under 14
The Under 14 League has started. Denn are playing in Division 3 along with Naomh Brid, St Finbarr's, St Joseph's, Belturbet, Knockbride, Laragh Utd & Munterconnacht Maghera. Round 2 was against Munterconnacht Maghera on Friday evening last and won on a scoreline of 10-12 to 2-6. Round 3 is against St Joseph's on Friday 19th May at 6.45pm.
Under 12 Spring League
Denn defeated Ballinagh in their Under 12 Spring League Green Group game on Tuesday evening last. The next game in the Under 12 Spring League is on Tuesday 23rd May against Cavan Gaels in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys at 7pm.

Feile Peil na nOg 2017
Feile Peil na nOg Under 14 All Ireland competition will be taking place from Friday 23rd of June until Sunday 25th June 2017. The competition is taking place in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. The Denn boys Under 14 Team will be participating in this prestigious competition, playing in Division 7 in where they will host a visiting club on that weekend. The visiting club will be Thomastown from Kilkenny. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Under 14s to participate in competition, meet new friends, and have an opportunity to have a great weekend of fun and enjoyment. Denn GFC are looking for four more families to host visiting team members on Feile weekend. Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of Denn GFC will take place on Friday 26th May at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members are asked to attend.

Camogie
Congrats to the Denn' U-14 camogie team who have qualified for Feile Cup competition in June 16th-18th in Carlow. Primary School training Monday 6-7pm.

Safetalk - Suicide Alertness Training
SafeTALK is a 3 hour suicide alertness programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. The set of skills taught during the course may help save lives. Participants can expect to leave safeTALK training more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide. Breffni Integrated CLG. in association with  the H.S.E. are running this free certified course on Thursday 18th May 2017, Réaltóg Centre, Kilnaleck, From 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., Registration from 6.30 p.m., Places are limited, so please book your place early. Child Safeguarding
A talk on Child Safeguarding that will be given by Det. Superintendent Declan Daly from the Garda National Protective Services Bureau in the Hotel Kilmore on Monday 22nd May at 7.15p.m. The lives of our young people and teenagers are fundamentally linked to the online environment , most being active users on Facebook , image /video sharing on Snapchat and Instagram . These are just a few of the many social medial platforms that are so popular , and which can also present huge challenges for the safeguarding and welfare of the users . In his talk, Declan Daly will speak on Online & Phone safety, online bullying, the ease that predators can infiltrate a group/organisation, the effects that has and will give us advice on how best to try and safeguard children and teenagers. Everyone is Welcome . This is a free event .

SafeTALK suicide prevention training
Breffni Integrated and the HSE are holding a SafeTALK suicide prevention training workshop in Belturbet on Thursday 25th May from 7-10.30pm (registration from 6.30pm).  Venue to be confirmed.
SafeTALK is a 3-hour suicide alertness programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources.  The set of skills taught during the course may help to save lives.  Participants can expect to leave SafeTALK training more willing and able to perform an important helping role for persons with thoughts of suicide.The workshop is free and open to everyone 18 years and over.  It is advised that people who have been directly affected by suicide in the last 12 months don't attend the workshop. Denn GFC Legends Cup
The draw for the 2017 Denn GFC Legends Cup was made on Saturday evening last. The finals will be played on Saturday 15th July. The draw is as follows; Ramor Utd V Killinkere, Lavey V Denn, Killygarry V Laragh Utd, Crosserlough V Ballyhaise.

Kellogg's Cúl Camps 
Kellogg's Cul Camps will be held in Denn from 24th - 28th July 2017.

Couch to 5K
Denn GAA Juvenile Football Club Couch to 5K is ongoing. Personal trainer Donal Briody will continue to be onsite. Classes continue every Tuesday and Thursday night from 8pm - 9pm. Everyone welcome - all ages, walkers, joggers, runners. The cost is just membership and E2 per session. Registration is E10. New members welcome.
