Football News

Our Senior Men had a good win over Belturbet in Rd.3 of the ACFL Div.1 on a scoreline of 5-17 to 1-06 last Saturday. Next up is Cootehill away this Sat. evening. The Senior Championship 2017 Draw took place recently and the Gaels will play Lacken in their opening game.

In the Reserve ACFL our Senior Men had a comfortable win over Ballyhaise at home on Sunday. They play Castlerahan this coming Sunday. Good luck to all our juvenile teams who are in action this week.

Congrats to Cavan Ladies who defeated Clare to make the Div.2 Final. 1 team will be promoted.

 

 

Healthy Clubs

 

Please note that Terry Coyle Park is now a Smoke Free Environment. Cavan Gaels leads the way with this Healthy Club initiative, being the first Club in County Cavan to implement this policy.   We request the co-operation of our members  to ensure that our sports ground remains smoke free.   Bí Folláin.

 

 

Bingo

 

Please note that Bingo will resume this Fri.28th April in the Ozanam Centre at 9p.m.with a prize fund of € to be won. Thanks to all our loyal bingo patrons for their continued support.

 

Lá na gClubanna 2017

 

Lá na gClubanna will take place in Terry Coyle Park on Sun.7th May from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be fun and games, rounders, skittles, bowls and much more. Please support.

 

 

Concussion Awareness

 

As part of the Healthy Clubs Programme a concussion awareness session provided by Ulster GAA is being planned for the coming weeks. Details of date and time to follow in due course.

 

 

Cavan Gaels Juveniles

 

Our Saturday morning training in Terry Coyle Park continues for Tornadoes up to U12 boys and Girls. With the juvenile season now underway all age grades are back training. For any info or queries please contact John Fortune at 0876196002. Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí.

 

Gaeltacht Scholarships 2017

Circuit Training

 

Circuit Training for all ages and fitness levels, male and female, takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the new clubrooms. All welcome.
