Under 6/8/10;

Full steam ahead for these boys as they make their return after the Easter break this week in Kingscourt on Thursday and Bailieborough on Friday. U8 blitz possibly next week with the U10 tournament beginning on 8th May.

Under 12;

The lads made it 3 wins from 3 in the Cavan Spring League with a good performance over Ballinamore on the 3G on Saturday last.The Monaghan league begins May 8th with a home game v Clontibret.

Under 14;

The next round of the Monaghan league is away against Monaghan Harps TBC. The Cavan league begins soon.

Under 16;

Monaghan U16 HL begins May 8th. We have a bye in the first round then we play Truagh Gaels at home on 22nd

 

Cavan minor hurling squad.

We are always very proud when any of our boys make the progression up to intercounty level. Friday night was no different as Jack Barry, Ryan Gargan and Cian McEntee made the step up to minor level wearing the famous Cavan jersey as they took on Monaghan in the Ulster Minor Shield.

A great performance from the lads although defeated by a few points in a game Cavan could have easily won. Cian putting in a massive shift on the edge of the square repelling the Monaghan attack on several occasions.Jack in centre field, hassling and harrying breaking up and creating plays while Ryan got his opportunity in the second half. Senior county is the next step for these lads as county minor is U17 next year.

More ECG lads on the county conveyor belt and with the return of the senior county side we hope to be well represented on all county sides in the years ahead.

Hurling training times and venues;

Kingscourt group; Under 6/8/10; Thursday 6.45-7.45pm for all U6/8/10 in the Community Centre. €3 each and bring water bottle.

Bailieborough group U6/8/10;

Friday at the Bailieborough Community School Sports Hall. U6/8 from 6-7. Under 10 from 7-8pm. €3 each and bring the water bottle.

Under 12/14/16/18;

Under 12 training Monday 6.45-7.45 in Kingscourt.

Under 14/16 training Saturday 5pm at Bailieboro Community School pitch.
