Blotto Results

Bingo

Drung GFC Bingo continues every Monday night at 9pm in Bunnoe community centre. Jackpot of €1,000 on 45 calls or less. Lots of great prize money to be won.


Condolences

Drung GFC would like to offer their sincere condolences to the Moore and Daly families on the passing of Theresa Moore. Theresa is a mother of club chairman PJ and grandmother of Drung and St. Finbarrs ladies players Christopher, Aishling and Ciara. Ar dheis de go raibh a h-anam.

 

Drung Seniors

The senior men continue to train every Tuesday and Friday at 8pm in Bunnoe in preparation for their league campaign which starts on Saturday 8th April with a home game against Drumgoon.

 

Reserve League

Drung got their reserve league off to the best possible start last Saturday when they played Munterconnaught at home. They won on a scoreline of 4-17 to 2-12. There next game is next Saturday 1st April away to Drumgoon at 6pm. Please support

Annalee Gaels Minor Boys

The minors continue to train for their next league match which won't be played till Saturday 8th April versus St. Joesphs away.

 

U16 Boys

The St Finbarrs U16s will this year amalgamate with Cootehill and will be called Trinity Gaels. They have been placed in division 2 with Balieboro, Blackwater Gaels, Denn, Castletara, Killygarry, Knockbride and Ramor. Their league starts on the 5th April with a home game against Bailieborough at 7pm.

 

U14 Boys

St. Finbarrs u14 boys continue to train on Wednesdays at 7pm.

 

U12 Boys

Well done to the U12 boys who played their first challenge of the 2017 season against Belturbet in Bunnoe.

U12 training continues for the U12s every Tuesday at 7 in Bunnoe Community Centre. Training will be confirmed through text. New members welcome.

Drung U6, U8, U10

Dung underage for the coming season is no up and running. Training commenced last Saturday with at 9.30 with over 30 kids attending. Training continues Wednesday at 6.30. New members welcome.

 

St Finbarr's Ladies

The ladies get their 9aside back underway next Sunday when they play Belturbet at home at 12pm. All support would be appreciated.
Registration for St. Finbarrs ladies and underage is now due and should be paid ASAP to any of the committee members.

Girls underage

Training for our underage girls will take place every Saturday as follows: U11 up to U14 will train at 10.15-11 and U17 will train from 11-11.45 in Kill. Training also takes place every Wednesday. All new members welcome.

U11 girls

Well done to the U11 girls and management who defeated Ballyhaise last Saturday in Bunnoe. Well done to both teams on a great game.

 

Feile

The National U14 All-Ireland Feile competition will be taking place from Friday June 23rd until Sunday June 25th. This year the competition will be taking place in Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. Both the St. Finbarrs girls and boys teams will be taking part in this prestigious tournament This is a great experience for these players and we ask that everyone supports them in their fundraising and preparation for this weekend.

It has now been confirmed that the St. Finbarrs boys will host Lancashire and the girls will host Antrim B.

 

St. Finbarrs girls Feile Fundraiser

Date for the Diaries! There will be a table quiz in the Stray Sod this Friday 31st March at 8.30pm as a fundraiser for the St. Finbarrs U14 girls team who will compete in the National Feile in June. Tables are €40 each and can be made up of 4 people. Your attendance and support on the night would be greatly appreciated.

 

Cavan Ladies

Congratulations to Laura Fitzpatrick and the Cavan seniors who recorded another win last Sunday against Sligo. They travelled to Cloonacool in Sligo and came out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 2:13 to 2:03. Next Sunday they play their final division 2 league game in 3G Kingspan Breffni Park against Laois.

 

County Minors

Congratulations to Tiarnan Reilly who played a key role for Cavan minors in their win over Down last Saturday. After a tightly contested match in Cornafean they beat Down on a score line of 2:15 to 2:11. Next Saturday they play Monaghan in the third round at home at 12pm.

 

Loreto Junior team

The club wishes Aine Reilly every success this Friday 31st as she and her Loreto team mates get ready to do battle in the All Ireland Post Primary Schools A football final. They play John the Baptist CS, Limerick in the final at 1pm, venue TBC.
