Mayo Masters' midfielder David Tiernan is confident that they can get the job done at the second time of asking.

The Connacht side meet Cavan in the All-Ireland Masters SFC final replay in Ballinagh on Saturday afternoon.

In the drawn game, the sides played out a pulsating draw and there is a great deal of interest in the replay.

Tiernan told the Western People that he believes Mayo are the better team and they should prove that tomorrow afternoon.

"I think we are the better team. We're probably the fitter team. The pitch didn't help us the last day, I think, in that we got bogged down a little," said Tiernan.

"They might be physically stronger than us, but I think if we're playing on a decent pitch we will be fitter and we should outrun them.

"In fairness to Cavan, they are a very tough team. They stuck with us when we went ahead and came back at us hard. That's what you'd expect from a Cavan team."
