U6s

U6 training continues on Saturday mornings at 10am until 11am. New children always welcome. 

 

U8s 

With no training last Saturday we resume this Saturday at 10am until 11.15am in Stradone. Remember your gumsheilds. Updates on training are on facebook and twitter.

 

U10s

Despite the weather the u10s travelled to Ramor United and played the blitz. The lads would like to thank all at Ramor for their wonderful hospitality and great football.

 

U13s

Our u13s traveled to Drumgoon on Saturday last and in an exciting and high scoring game the lads got a 1 point win. Full time score Drumgoon 8-08 Laragh 9-06. We now welcome Kingscourt to Duke Park, Stradone on Saturday at2.30pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 

U21s

Our u21s have been placed in division 1 for the championship. It will be a knockout competition and we have an a bye to the quarter final. Following round 1 there will be an open draw for the quarter finals. All games will be on the 3G. No dates yet but will be on facebook and twitter.

 

Seniors

Our seniors went to Hugh O'Reilly memorial park in Cootehill on Saturday last to play Shercock in the final of the division 3 Riverfront league final, and in the year of the draw, we will have to do it all over again. Full time score Laragh 1-12 Shercock 1-12. No date has yet been set for the replay but updates will be on facebook and twitter.

 

Lotto

Schools/Colleges Football

Good luck to all our members as they play with their schools and colleges in the weeks and months ahead. We will keep you updated where possible.

Feile

Feile 2017 will take be hosted between Cavan, Monaghan and Fermanagh. The U14 national tournament will have local families hosting players from all over the country on the weekend of 23rd of June to the 25th. More detail will be available soon. This is a wonderful festival of football and will be a great weekend for the club.

 

County football

All at Laragh United wish Mattie McGleenan and his team all the best as he take on the county senior team management. Its an exciting time with Cavan now playing in division 1 of the league and looking forward to welcoming the Dubs in February. Cavan's championship opener will be in Kingspan Breffni Park when we play the winners of Monaghan and Fermanagh.

Also good luck to John Brady and his team as they start work with the county minors.

 

Scor na Og.

Stradone community centre is the venue for the opening round of this year's Scor. We will welcome Ramor United, Lavey, Cuchulainns, Cavan Gaels, Killygarry, Drumalee and Castlerahan on Friday the 11th of November at 7.30pm. This is a great opportunity to come along and see what talent there is in our GAA community. Drumlane will host Belturbet and Ballymachugh on Saturday the 12th of November at 3pm while kileshandra will welcome Cornafean, Mullahoran, Gowna and Lacken on Sunday the 13th of November at 3pm. The county final will be in Killeshandra on Saturday the 26th of November at 3pm.

Will run each Thursday evening from 5.00-6.30pm (please note change of day and time) Ramor Utd GFC. Activities include sport, music, art and games and as everything is done through IRISH it is a great opportunity for young people to use the language and meet new friends. Camogie Board Run

Cavan camogie board are hold a Halloween fancy-dress fun run on the Monday the 31st of October starting from Kingspan Breffni Park at 1pm. There is a 5km or a 10km run. You can register on line at www.coretiming.ie and the cost is €15 ahead. This promises to be a great family day out with refreshments served and lots of spot prizes.
