Googlebox Stars - Well done to locals Fergal and Neal Tully on their appearance on TV3's new reality show Gogglebox which is aired onThursday nights over the next number of weeks.  The lads have to be commended on their bravery as they put themselves in front of the TV cameras to watch and analyzse various programmes and last weeks viewing figures were near two hundred thousand people tuning in to watch the show.  The twins who are close regularly have discussions on everything going on in the world from sport to politics and current affairs and their performance has won them rave reviews on many radio shows and all social media sites.  Particularly funny and admirable were the lads discussion on what biscuits to have with their tea and when they stood up in their living room for the National Anthem prior to the All Ireland as the rest of the famiies remained on their sofas.  Best of luck to Neal and Fergal over the coming weeks and we look forward to watching.

CORNAFEAN CLUB NOTES

U12 Summer League Group B Final - Cornafean 12 - 6   Castlerahan 4 - 10

Well done to both Cornafean and Castlerahan teams who served up an entertaining game in Breffni Park on Tuesday evening last.  It was definitely a game of two halves as there was nothing to choose between the teams in the first half but cornafean went goal crazy in the second period to run out deserved winners.  Ronan O'Rourke opened the scoring for the Reds with a neat point but Castlerahan replied immediately with a Jake Brady free.  Goals were then exchanged with the impressive Oisin Brown opening for the Reds Account but the dangerous Patrick Slowey replied for Castlerahan.  In their next attack Ronan O'Rourke blasted to the net but the Castlerahan men replied with points from Luke Caldwell and Patrick Slowey.  Oisin Brown who was tormenting the Castlerahan defence scored the next 3 points for the Reds but a goal and a point from the impressive Caldwell plus a point from Adam Hogan put the lads in Maroon a point in front after 15 minutes.  The remainder of the half was nip and tuck with both teams giving it their all.  Reds midfielder Aaron Smith was next to hit the net but again Castlerahan had a major of their own from dangerous forward Patrick Slowey.  Once again the Reds replied with a great R. O'Rourke goal but two points each from Jack Hogan and the dangerous Caldwell left Castlerahan 3 points in front at the break on a scoreline of Reds 4-4 Castlerahan 3-10 and all to play for in second half.  The Reds got the first two scores of the second half with a point from excellent midfielder Aaron smith and another goal from the best forward on the pitch Oisin Brown and for the remainder of the match and to the delight of the Cornafean supporters the team went on a goal spree.  Aaron Smith team captain scored a hatrick of majors, Diarmaid Martin chipped in with a beauty and then the flying corner forward Conor Kilkenny got in on the net with his own hatrick of great goals.   Upfront Castlerahan were overrun by a rampant Reds in the second half and were only able to reply with one goal.  Final Score - Cornafean 12-6  Castlerahan 4-10
