On Saturday 20th of August Ballymachugh GAA hosted the U12 Feargal O' Reilly Memorial Tournament in which on the day were joined by neighbouring clubs, Arva, Crosserlough, Granard, Gowna, Ramour and Laragh. Despite the early morning weather conditions all teams displayed fantastic games of football but in the end we saw Ballymachugh and Gowna in the Cup Final and Granard and Crosserlough in the Shield final. Congratulations to Gowna winners of the Feargal O' Reilly Memorial Cup and to Crosserlough winners of the Feargal O' Reilly Memorial Shield in its first year.

Feargal's parents Mairead, Noel and sister Eimear spoke about how heart-warming the day was as it saw their parish and wider community gather together to remember Feargal who too had many happy days playing for his club. Feargal aged 18 tragically lost his life when involved in a collision on last St. Stephen's Day. He is sorely and dearly missed by his parents Mairead and Noel, sister Eimear, extended family and friends.

Ballymachugh GAA would like to extend their thanks to all teams who travelled and took part in the Tournament on the day.
