Gerard Reilly Memorial Tournament 2016

This year's tournament will take place next Saturday 3rd Sept at the Athletic Grounds from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM. The tournament is for U10 players. Two of our own teams will be involved as well as teams from Denn, Cavan Gaels, Butlersbridge, Gowna, Crosserlough and Drung.

All-Ireland Ticket Raflle

We will have sellers out over the next fortnight selling tickets with a first prize of a package including two All-Ireland tickets. Tickets will be €5 each or 3 for €10. Please support this annual fundraiser.

Club Men Adult Teams

Our Seniors nearly got over the line but had to settle for a draw against Ballyhaise in the Senior Championship last week in Lacken. It was effectively a relegation decider. Our minors were beaten narrowly in the Minor B Championship by Laragh Utd. last week

Club Boys Juvenile Teams

The U16s have been in good championship form recently with wins away to Lavey, home to Maghera and away to Castlerahan. They finished with a loss to St, Josephs last week but still qualified for the semi-final where they face Southern Gaels next week. We have two teams in the U14 championship. Our Div 1 team beat Bailieboro' and Dernacrieve Gaels last week and face old rivals Butlersbridge this week. Our Div 4 team lost at home to Mountnugent last week but followed that with a win over Ballinagh. They're away to Shercock this week. We also have two U12 teams. Our Group A team beat Munterconnaught and Naomh Bríd in the past week. Our Group D team beat Butlersbridge and Ballymachugh in the past week and a walkover against Drumlane. Both teams have now qualified for the finals on 3rd Sept on the 3G. Our U8/U10s took part in a blitzes in Mullahoran and Kilnaleck in the past few weeks.

Club Ladies Seniors

Our ladies resumed their league campaign this week after their championship efforts. They had a convincing win over Castlerahan/Denn. Well done to them.

Club Ladies Juvenile Teams

Our Minor ladies had a mixed week. They started it by losing narrowly away to Lacken but they made up for it with a convincing win over Cavan Gaels later in the week. Training recommences for the U16s on Tuesdays in preparation for Division 2 championship due to start on September 20th. The U14s are continuing their preparations for the championship and have a challenge game against Gowna this week. U14 championship starts on Saturday 3rd - best of luck girls.

Running Club

Join our running/jogging/walking club. Sessions are on both Tuesdays and Thursdays - 5.30-6.15PM, 6.30-7.15PM or 7.30-8.15PM. There is also a session on Saturday at 9.30AM. Each session costs just €2. The sessions cater for all levels starting from beginners upwards. See Peter's summer schedule on on our Facebook page and the website.
