Membership/Lotto:
Ballinagh GAA have set up a direct debit for anyone wanting to do the lotto on a yearly basis. This works out at €5 a week, with the yearly membership and three lotto tickets every week included in this. This is a savings of €70 a year for anyone doing the lotto on a yearly basis. Cash or cheque will be also be accepted for this lotto incentive. Please contact any committee member for further details if you are interested in joining this fantastic offer.


Lotto Results
The numbers drawn for the week ending 18/7/16 were 16-19-24-29, there was no jackpot winner. The winners of €25 were; Pauric Miney, Steve Staunton Corstruce, Vincent Brady c/o The Tank, Jack Smith Gowna. The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end  of the month was Rory Gumley. Next week's Jackpot is €1'900. Tickets can be bought in any local establishment


Marguerite McCarthy R.I.P
The death has occurred of Marguerite MC CARTHY (née Hewson), Glasnevin, Dublin. Peacefully, in The Mater Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Paddy and loving mother of Daragh, Catríona, Deirdre and Ailis, loving grandmother to Pearse, Ronan, Colm, Grace, Faye, Paul and Ailbhe. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marguerite's son Daragh has been an integral part of Ballinagh GAA since the early 90's in playing, coaching and committee roles. Everyone at Ballinagh GAA would like to extend their deepest sympathies to Daragh and his extended friends and family at their time of loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.


Cavan
Cavan U16s continued their fine form with a big win over Wicklow in the Gerry Reilly tournament. Ballinaghs Thomas Smith featured and got on the score sheet in the process. Cavan have now qualified for the final against Dublin.


Cavan Rose Table Quiz in Aid of Cavan Cystic Fibrosis To help raise funds for the Cavan Rose and Ballinagh native Lisa Reilly for the world famous Rose of Tralee festival, Ballinagh GAA will host a table quiz on Friday the 5th of August across both Cronin's Bar and The Millennium Tavern. The quiz will also be in aid of the Cavan Cystic Fibrosis Branch. Tables will be €40 and there will be great raffle prizes on the night too. Please get out and support Lisa as she is a fantastic representative of Cavan and especially the Ballinagh area.


Drugs and Alcohol Awareness Talk
Ballinagh GAA in conjunction with Ballinagh NS will host a drug and alcohol talk for parents and people over 18 on Thursday the 8th of September  at 7:30pm until 9pm in Ballinagh National School. This talk is open to everyone in the community and the surrounding areas and will be delivered by professionals in this area of work. It is hope to have someone present from 'Cavan Drug Awareness' to discuss supports and services that are available locally.
