Clg Cuchulainn club notes

Under 8:
On Saturday morning we hosted Castlerahan in Mullagh and despite having a few players on holidays 28 Cuchulainn players played in two seperate games. The games were both tightly contested and were of great benefit to both clubs. Thanks to Castlerahan for traveling and thanks to Senior Players David Carolan and Derek Argue for coaching our even younger stars.
U12:
The U12 team had a rest week from the summer league competition last week. Group F game (U12 team)  v's Cootehill on Mon 25th, 7pm, away. Please meet at 5.30pm in Mullagh Sports Centre. It has not been confirmed whether the Group B game (U11 team) V's Drumalee on Thurs 28th is going ahead. Training continues on Saturday at 10am in Cross. Please contact Ronan (087) 8118246 if you are unavailable to play.  

Clean Up; 
The big clean up of our club facilities in Cross continues. Speical thanks to a small band of U16 boys and in particular Mickey McCann who did a fanstastic job painting and refurbishing the dressingrooms.  If any club members have a few hours spare during the week, please lend us a hand to paint the roof and complete a few simple tasks prior to Cross Field Day on August Bank Holiday Weekend.  

Clg Cuchualinn 5 Year Strategic Plan; Our 5 year Strategic review was launched at our club open day on Saturday 18th June. Copies of the complete document can be downloaded from www.clgcuchulainn.com.

North-East Cryospa; The North East Cryospa in Mullagh Sports Centre is officially open. This modern salinised ice bath has proven to be an excellent facility in assisting recovery post exercise for many professional and amateur sportpeople around the world. Call 087 1626202 to book a well earned chill !

Golf Classic  Friday 22nd July; 
Clg Cuchulainn wish to thank all participating golfers and all the hugely impressive number of generous sponsors of Teams, Tee Boxes, Greens and Donors who made our club golf classic in The Radisson Golf Club such a successful day. A great night craic was enjoyed by all present afterwards in Tyrrells. Particular thanks to our hard working committee lead by Larry O Brien; Maureen Donoghue, Martin Flanagan, Gene Tully, Fergus O Reilly, Fr. John Gilhooley, Fergal Kenny for their exhaustive efforts. Thanks to Tommy and Particia Tyrrell, JP Tully. Patrick Carolan, Liam Ormiston. Adrian Taite, Christopher Tully, Fintan Cahill, Terry Farrelly, Barry Monaghan, Mickey McCann, Richard Leddy, Noel Donoghue and Tom Conachy for thr unstinting help in making this day such a success. The funds gathered will be a significant stimulus in kick starting our excitiing proposed development of the 8.8 acre site acquired next to the present Sports Centre. It is hoped to promote this exciting development to the Mullagh Diaspora all over the world.
