U6s

U6 training continues in Stradone on Saturday morning at 10am. New children always welcome.

 

U8s/U10s

Our U8s and U10s hosted Kingscourt on Saturday last and as always there was great enthusiasm and some fine skills been shown by these young players. Well done to all involved.

 

U12s

U12 training continues as normal. The summer league starts with an away game to Lacken on Monday 27th of June.

 

U14s

Our U14s went to Mullahoran on Saturday last with a place in the semi final up for grabs. Our lads knew they would be up against it as Mullahoran had beaten them earlier in the league however Laragh worked hard and came away with a win. Full time score Mullahoran 0-07 Laragh 1-09. We now take on Drumlane  in the semi final in Killeshandra at 6.45 on Friday evening. Everyone at Laragh United wish these lads well and please come out and support them.

 

Pyjama walk

Any outstanding sponsorship cards and money to be returned to training this week please.

 

Minor

Minor training continues as normal and we play Ballinagh in the division 2 final on Monday the 27th of June at 7.30pm Venue to be confirmed. Please keep an eye on facebook and twitter for venue. 

 

Junior Football

Our reserve team headed to gowna on Saturday evening last and came away with a convincing win. Full time score Gowna 0-08 Laragh 2-18. This now means Laragh having topped the table are promoted to division 1 and at least a semi final place. We have one more league game which is Friday evening at 8.15pm in Stradone against Maghera MacFinns.

 

Senior Football

Training continues as normal.

 

Feile Na nGael.

Well done to the Laragh lads who spent last weekend in Tipperary as part of Cootehill Celtic and East Cavan Gaels hurling squads at Feile. James Tully, Conor Walsh and Nathan McGuigan Carroll were with East Cavan Gaels who were beaten in the All Ireland Quarter final by Roscrea of Tipperary while Shea Denning, Oliver Leddy and Christopher Dunn who were with Cootehill Celtic reached the All Ireland semi final only to be beaten by Graignamanagh of Killkenny. A great weekend was had by all.

 

Feile Na nOg

Laragh United wish our neighbours Killygarry and Butlersbridge the best of luck as they represent Cavan at the football feile in Kerry this weekend.

 

Division 1 U14 Semi Final

P.J.Duke Park Stradone will host this semi final this evening (Wednesday) between Bailieborough and Butlersbridge at 6.30pm.

 

Cavan Senior Football

Well done to Terry Hyland and the Cavan squad who in difficult conditions got a draw against Tyrone in Clones on Sunday last. The team will have learned a lot and will be ready for the replay which is on Sunday the 3rd of July in Clones. The losers of this game will face Carlow in the qualifiers but will have home advantage.

 

Kellogg's Cul Camps

Its getting to that time of year again and the Cul camp will take place in PJ Duke park from the 8th of August until the 12th. The cost is €55 for the 1st child, €45 for the 2nd child and €40 for the 3rd and subsequent children. You can register on-line or at Kngspan Breffni Park. This has always been a great week  of GAA and this year will be no different.

 

Ulster Semi Final

Kingspan Breffni Park is the venue for the second Ulster championship semi final with Donegal taking on Monaghan at 7pm on Saturday evening. With both countys also contesting the Minor semi which throws in at 5pm.

 

Cavan Ladies

Congratulations to the Cavan Ladies Football team who have reached their first ever Senior Ulster Final where they will take on Monaghan. In a hard fought semi final Cavan beat the defending champions Donegal by one point. Full Time score Cavan 1-09 Donegal 1-08.

 

Denn Legends

Our legends team head to Crosskey on Saturday for the legends tournament. Having lost the 1st round against Killygarry we now find ourselves in the shield competition with hosts Denn, Killinkere and Drumalee, while Crosserlough, Killygarry, Lavey and  Ramor United play the cup competition. This will be a great days fun and all support would be appreciated by the players but more importantly by Mens Cancer Alliance and Sosad.

 

Camogie

Senior training continues this week with training on Wednesday evening at 7.45pm.

Our division 3 schools team having beaten Ballinagh  in the semi final now take on Kill in the final which was play yesterday Tuesday in Kill at 6.30pm. Please check Facebook for results. There will be NO underage training for any schools teams for the next two weeks
