The 19,141 spectators who passed through the Clones turnstiles today were treated to 'a wonderful game' of football, according to Mickey Harte.

"People have been waiting on it," he remarked to BBC Northern Ireland shortly after the final whistle. "I suppose the games hadn't been intense or tight up to this but they certainly couldn't say that today.

"I think it was a wonderful game from start to finish for those that could enjoy it in that way. Cavan came out here to make a statement, to want to be in the Ulster final, the same as ourselves, and they played like a team that wanted to do that.

"We had to call on all our reserves to stay in the game."

The concession of three goals is something that Harte and his players will have to address in advance of the replay.

"That is very disappointing. We had gone eight or night matches without conceding a goal in the championship at all and we had two gone by half-time which was bad enough but to lose the third one after we had put ourselves into a winning position it very disappointing.

"We'll certainly have to take a long hard look at that but it is what it is, it has happened, thankfully it didn't beat us so hopefully we can do something about it for the replay."
