Terry Hyland acknowledges that Cavan will need to find a way through Tyrone's defensive system if they're to cause an upset in the Ulster SFC semi-final.

The Breffni boss was already looking ahead to the re-run of last month's Allianz League Division 2 final in three weeks' time after yesterday's surprisingly comfortable victory over Armagh.

"We've a lot of stuff to do and a lot of stuff to work on before we could say we're good enough to beat Tyrone, but we have a couple of weeks to do that," Hyland said in the Irish News.

"It's Tyrone's defensive set-up that you have to try and pick rather than anything else. They slow you down coming out of defence, they don't mind giving away frees to slow it up before so they can get their sweepers back. That's something we'll have to work on."

Hyland cited Seanie Johnston's point immediately after Stefan Campbell's missed penalty as the game's key moment.

"The penalty, it would have been a three-point game and given them an advantage at that stage. But look, that's what they are there for, they are there to be saved."
