Exam Time 

We wish all our young players the very best of luck in the Leaving Cert & Junior Cert examinations. Fr Mark English will say 12 o'clock Mass on May 29th in Kingscourt Church for all students sitting exams, & their parents. Everyone is welcome. 

Confirmation  

Congratulations to all 'The Stars' from the Parish who celebrated their Confirmation last Sunday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. 

Qtr Finals Ulster Championship 

Cavan V Armagh on Sunday May 29th at Breffni Park. Throw in Times: Minor 1.30pm; Senior 3.30pm. Tickets available from Kingspan Breffni Park Office, Centra, Supervalu or online at gaa.tickets.ie. Online up to 12 noon on the Friday before the fixture. In Store until 9pm Saturday before the fixture. Senior Citizen & student tickets available through clubs & the county board with a valid ID only. The Club wishes both the Cavan minor & senior panels & management the best of luck, with a special mention for Paddy Meade with the minors; & Padraig Faulkner, Joe Dillon & James Farrelly with the seniors. 

 'Healthy Club' Run Continues for Féile       

 Couch-To-5k continues Tuesday & Thursday at 7.30pm; & Saturday at 10am, meeting at football pitch for beginners, & Shercock gates of Forest Park for the more advanced runners.Funds are  going towards the girls U14 Féile trip to Kerry at the end of June. Everyone is welcome to take part & all levels of fitness are catered for. €2 per person. All U14 parents are encouraged to take part!   

Kingscourt Ladies   

Congratulations to sisters Shannen & Kerrie McCormack both part of the St Louis Secondary School team that won the Schools  Ulster U14C final in Garvaghy last Wednesday beating Letterkenny. 

County U14 girls Ulster Championship Final result Cavan 1-10  Donegal 0-5. Well done girls, a fantastic result. Congrats to local girls Shannon McCormack and Lauren Patterson who were part of the team. 

Ladies training continues on Wednesday & Friday at 7.15pm. Training for U14 and U16 girls Monday & Thursday at 6.45pm on the pitch. Girls U12 training for all girls born 2004/2005 Fridays 8pm-9pm community centre. All welcome!      

A great comeback for our Kingscourt ladies over Drumgoon on Sunday. A hard battle and a great one point win. Well done girls on a great score of 4.12 to  3.14  

Lotto      

Lotto results Sunday May 22nd  held in Clarkes - Lotto no's drawn 05,09,28,30. No match 3 winners.  Next jackpot €11,200. If not won, match 3s will win or share €300.  Draw in Dun A Ri House  .Weekly lotto is vital to raising funds to run the club. Thanks to the few dedicated club committee members who officiate at the draw every week. Anyone who is willing to lend a hand is more than welcome!    

    

Minors       

O'Raghallaigh Gaels training continues on Wednesdays at 8pm. Serious training will start after the state exams. Good luck to all our players with their studies.    

Seniors       

ACFL rd 7 Thursday June 2nd at 8.30pm home V Cavan Gaels. Rd 5  reserve ACFL  result Kingscourt  Cootehill. Postponed Rd 4 of reserve ACFL refixed for Saturday May 28th at 7pm away V Killygarry. Reserve ACFL Rd 6 Saturday June 4th at 7pm away V Lacken.   

U16      

 Training every Sunday morning at 10am with championship ahead in July after exams. Good luck with the study lads.  

Juveniles       

Parents remember all juveniles must be paid up members for insurance purposes. Juvenile membership can be paid to Juvenile Officers before the end of the month. U14 training on Mondays & Thursdays at 7.30pm at pitch. Next U14 game at home Kingscourt V Crosserlough Wednesday May 18th at 7.30pm. U12 training on Thursdays 6:30-7:30pm. U8 training  Saturdays 12pm-1pm. €2 per child. All players remember to have a gumshield!       

Any parent/ guardian willing to assist with coaching juvenile teams, both boys & girls, please contact any club member. Training will be available for all who are interested.     

Up For the Match  

Cavan County Board will host a special Up for the Match on Thursday May 26th in the Hotel Kilmore. Guests will include Oisin McConville, Colm O'Rourke, Seamus McEnaney, & Declan Bogue, & the night will be chaired by Damien Donohoe. Tickets cost €20, & are available from the committee with €10 going to the club for each ticket sold.  

Hurling    

Hurling training times and venues; Under 6/8/10; Kingscourt group; Training will move to Wednesdays in the next few weeks. This coming Wednesday we will be in Cloghan with our U8s and U10s so no U6 training in Kingscourt this week.  For all U8/10 information contact Willie Gaughan 086 164 9280 Under 12/14/16/18; Training for all ages from Under 12 to Under 18 on Wednesday 7pm at Bailieborough GAA grounds St.Annes Park. For all U12-U18 information contact Kathryn O'Flynn 087 244 1371.    

Summer Cúl Camps   

 You can sign-up your child for the 2016 Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camps NOW!  Kingscourt Camp is on 11th-15th July & includes football, hurling, camogie & rounders. Cost of 1st child is €55 with family discounts. Contact Keith Greene at 087 9366466 or go to www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie   

Membership       

All membership should now be paid up. Remember there is great value to be had by joining the 'Cairde Réalta Dún a Rí' scheme which allows membership to be paid through direct debit & offers family discounts & free home match entry. Last call is out for payment - contact Johnny Fleming or any committee member for full details. Remember only paid up members for 2016 are eligible and insured to use the club facilities and train/play for Kingscourt Stars!
