Denn GFC

Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 25th April. The winning numbers were 6,12,16,20. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Aine & Martin Smith Ryefort, John Galligan Larigan, Rosaleen Galligan Drumbarry, Declan Finnegan, Kieran Smith Carriga. The next draw will be on Monday 2nd May in The Carraig Springs. Jackpot is now €12,850.

Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of Denn GFC will take place on Tuesday 3rd May at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members are asked to attend.

ACFL Division 3
Denn will play Shercock in Round 5 of the ACFL Division 3 on Friday evening 29th April in Shercock at 7.30pm.

Minor League Division 3
Denn will play West Cavan Gaels in Round 6 on Monday 2nd May in Kildallon at 2pm and Bailieborough in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys in Round 7 on Friday 6thMay at 7.15pm.

Reserve League Division 2
Denn will play Gowna in Reserve League Division 2 on Sunday 1st May in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys at 2pm.

Danske Bank Corn Cuchulainn Final
Congratulations to Denn players, Mark McSherry, Donnacha Cusack Smith, Stephen Callaghan, Cian Courtney, Aaron Courtney and Shane Brady and the St Clare's College team and management who won the Corn Cuculainn Final beating Moville CC.

Senior Club Championship Draw
The draw for the Hotel Kilmore Senior Championship was made last week. Denn were drawn in Group 4 with Ramor United, Mullahoran & Ballinagh.

Under 16 League
Denn were defeated by Belturbet in Round 4 of the Under 16 League on Tuesday eveining last on a scoreline of 4-10 to 5-5. Round 5 is against Ballyhaise on Tuesday 3rd May in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys at 7.30pm.

Under 12 League
Denn's next game in the Green Group of the Under 12 League is against Arva.

Under 14 League
Denn will play Drumgoon in Drumgoon on Thursday 5th May at 7.30pm in Round 2 of Division 3, Group 2 of the Under 14 League.

Camogie
Congratulations to St. Clares' College Ballyjamesduff who are now Camogie U-16 Ulster Champions defeating Castleblaney on Thursday last in 3G Pitch. Denn Camogie Club had 11 members on this team. Well done girls, great achievement.

Kelloggs Cul Camp Coach.
Applications are now being accepted for anyone who wishes to apply to be a coach at the upcoming Kelloggs Cul Camps during the Summer. Only information submitted on the application form will be considered.  CVs or any other information will not be accepted and will not be used for shortlisting purposes. The completed application form must be returned to Cavan GAA so as to arrive not later than 5pm on Friday, 29th April 2016.  It must be returned to Cúl Camps, Cavan GAA Coaching and Games, Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan. OR  Email completed forms to [email protected]. Applications must hold a minimum of a GAA Foundation Level or equivalent in order to be considered. Youth2Work(Y2W)
Getting Young People into Jobs - Creating Opportunity to Live & Work Locally
Through Youth2Work (Y2W), a highly innovative and dynamic Initiative, the GAA in partnership with Microsoft and FIT want to help drive awareness of the emerging job opportunities in tech and related sectors in the greater Cavan region. More than that, the objective of Y2W is to make sure that new job opportunities are accessible to young people locally through appropriate training opportunities, career advice and placement supports. The ultimate goal of Y2W is to enable young people get a quality job - ideally within their locality with a local business. As part of its roll-out, Y2W will now host a range of events and activities across Cavan commencing with Y2W Tech Careers Expo - an informative and enjoyable event which will offer advice and hands-on support in securing employment locally. 3 Y2W Tech Careers Expo will take place at 7.00 p.m. in the following venue - The Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell 2nd May. (Register at [email protected] ) On the night participants will get information on the types of skills currently in demand with local employers. They will be able to apply for relevant courses provided by Cavan Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) at each event. The courses promoted and supported by Y2W emphasise -Smart People with Smart Skills - primarily focusing on equipping young people with skills in areas such as Business & Administration, Logistics & Warehousing, Retail, Tourism & Customers Care and tech skills in areas such as PC Maintenance; Software Development, Social Media / Digital Marketing and Web Development. Y2W will support members of the GAA community and the wider community to commence and successfully complete the journey to quality employment with one-to-one mentoring and support.

Couch to 5K
Denn GAA Juvenile Football Club have resumed their Couch to 5K. There is a personal trainer onsite. Classes continue every Tuesday and Thursday night from 8pm - 9pm. Everyone welcome - all ages, walkers, joggers, runners. The cost is just membership and E2 per session.
