Ballymachugh GAA Club Notes

Mr and Mrs
The club will host Mr and Mrs in Crover House Hotel on Friday February 26th at 8.30pm. With 15 couples already confirmed Ballymachugh, Crosserlough, Castlerahan, Denn, Gowna, Killinkere, Lacken, Mullahoran amongst others will be represented on the night. There will also be live music by popular country singer Ray Montanna. Tickets cost €10 and are available from committee members and contestants. Don't miss a great nights crack, music, dance and romance. Check out our Facebook page for more details of the event and the couples that will be taking part. This fundraiser will replace the clubs horse racing event which will not take place this year.
Seniors
Our seniors first game in the ACFL Division 2 will be at home to Butlersbridge, while they will also enjoy home advantage in round 1 of the spring league versus Denn. Dates TBC.
Minors
Well done to Drumloman Gaels who started their Division 1 league campaign with a 3-7 to 1-6 win over Ramor on the 3G pitch this past Saturday. Their next game is against Cavan Gaels on Saturday February 20th at 2pm in Mullahoran.
U14's
U14 training for the season ahead commences on Tuesday February 16th at 7.30pm in Sheelin Park.
Ladies
Well done to the senior ladies who defeated Kingscourt 1-11 to 0-6 in round 1 of the 9 aside league this past Sunday.
Coaching Courses
Cavan GAA are hosting a number of workshops in the Hotel Kilmore every week starting this Thursday February 11th at 7.30pm. The first workshop will cover 'Gaelic Start', workshop two will cover 'Developing young hurlers for the future, workshop 3 'Implementing club coaching structures and workshop 4 ' Fitness, conditioning and injury prevention'. Furthermore, the club will also host the GAA Foundation course in Sheelin Park on Saturday February 12th. Anyone who wishes to coach a team for the year ahead is encouraged to attend.
Erne Valley Community Games
Important dates:
U13 boys indoor soccer trials will be held on Friday 5/2/16 in Mullahoran complex from 4:45pm to 5:45pm.
U16 boys basketball trials will be held on Monday 8/2/16 from 8pm to 9pm.
U10 boys Gaelic football & u12 & 14 girls Gaelic football will be held at a later stage. Anyone interested in helping out with any teams please send text to 086 1929273
