Death of John Fitzpatrick. ..Our sympathies are extended to Geraldine McCaffrey,  Drumbess and her Mother Anna on the recent death of their beloved Father and Husband. John after a long illness bravely borne died on Friday last in the loving care of the staff of Cavan General Hospital surrounded  by his family.  John's funeral mass took place in Killeshandra on Monday last after a lovely mass celebrated by Fr. Dan Sheridan, Fr. Colm Hurley and Fr. Gerry Comiskey

Club fundraiser. . Tickets are on sale for the National Club Draw all of this week. All support is greatly appreciated as all monies raised stay in our club. Thanks to some local sponsors we can also award a number of prizes in an internal draw. Tickets must be returned by the end of this week as all details must be updated on the GAA website for inclusion in the draw. There are many great prizes including a car and a weekend package to both football and hurling all ireland finals. Thanks again to all for your continued support.

Killeshandra Comhaltas. .next session in Minnies Killeshandra this Saturday 13th February.  All musicians singers and storytellers welcome. Big thank you to everyone who supported the Wrenboys on St Stephens Day. The €500 raised on the day has been donated to Cavan Hospice.

 

Scór News:  Huge congratulations to Thomas Hughes, Solo Singer and our wonderful Set Dancers who beat off stiff competition in Killeshandra last Saturday night to guarantee themselves a place in the Ulster Semi-Final which takes place in Threemilehouse next Friday 12th February at 7.45pm.  Well done also to Michael McGibney (recitation), instrumental music group and leiriu group who put in excellent performances on the night.
