U12
Our 2nr semi finals of the summer league were played last Saturday and Sunday respectively. Our white team played Baileborough away on Sunday and came out second best to a strong home side. Our green team had better luck on Saturday and have qualified for the final. Played in the sunshine in Killygarry GAA grounds against the home side this was a game played in a very sporting manner by both teams. Playing against a strong wind in the first half our boys played the better football and were winning comfortably at the interval. However, Killygarry while played against the same wind in the second half made a game of it and scored some excellent goals to lead by one point with minutes to go. However we engineered the ball up to Killian Brady who finished a great move to the back of net to lead by 2 points and held out for the win despite a lot of late pressure by the home team. The final is scheduled for this Saturday so check club face book / twitter for time / venue. Best of luck lads.
