County Minors

Best of luck to Danny Brady and his county minor team in their upcoming All-Ireland quarter final versus Kildare.

Junior B Championship

Mullahoran will take on Castlerathan and hope to maintain a 100% record in the Junior championship this Wednesday evening at 8pm in Mullahoran. Please support.

 

Senior Championship

Mullahoran had a successful first outing in the senior championship last Friday evening in Breffni Park beating Kingscourt by a single point in a hard fought match. We lost Enda O'Reilly to a serious looking injury early in the match but were able to come back from a slow start to draw 5 points each at half time and pushed on in the second half to claim a 1-9 to 1-8 victory.

Lotto

There was no winner of last week's lotto jackpot of €5500. The venue was the Hideaway and the numbers drawn were 7, 30, 31 and 32.

Quiz

Mullahoran GFC are planning a battle of the townlands to determine the smartest townland in the parish and surrounding areas. In what should be a fun filled evening we will have a range of questions from general knowledge to local trivia to see which townland takes the title. Make sure your townland is represented! The quiz will take place on Friday August 28th in the parochial hall.

 

Family Fun Day

Mullahoran GFC in conjunction with Mullahoran St Josephs Hurling Club will be holding a family fun day in the park on September 13th. The event will be to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the hurling club as well as an opportunity for the football club to pay back its loyal members with a family oriented day of activities.

Auction

Mullahoran GFC will be holding an auction in October. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Underage roundup

U8s

The u8s have had a very busy week. On Wednesday last they took part in a blitz in Killoe. On Saturday they hosted a 4-team blitz in the park with Gowna, Cootehill and Shercock taking part. Many thanks to all the parents who supplied goodies and helped with the refreshments after the games.

U10s

The u10s travelled to Butlersbridge and Drumlane in the last two weeks and recorded convincing wins at both venues.

The boys will take part in the Inniskeen Tournament on Saturday August 1st, in Co Monaghan.

U12s

The u12 championship commences on Monday July 27th with an away game vs Lavey.

U14s

The u14 championship commences on August 29th.

U16s

The u16s continued their championship campaign with a convincing win over O'Reilly Gaels. Their next outing is vs Ramor United on Thursday July 30th at 7.30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Park Mullahoran.

Ladies Football

The ladies will be playing in the championship this Wednesday evening in Virginia against Lurgan. The match will take place at 8pm.

 

Cavan Ladies

Congratulations to the Cavan Ladies on their comfortable victory over Down this weekend. Mullahoran was well represented by Sheila Reilly, Mona, Geraldine and Aishling Sheridan and Niamh O' Reilly.
