Denn GFC
Blotto
The Blotto Draw took place on Monday 23rd March. The winning numbers were 13,20,22,28. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of €25 were Jimmy Galligan, Liam Curran Brookeborough, Gary McCaul, Oliver Finnegan, Pat Morgan. The next draw will be on Monday 30th March in The Den. Jackpot is now €10,000.
Cavan ACFL League
Denn will played their first game in the Cavan ACFL Division 1B on Sunday last against Drumlane. It was a successful start to the campaign with the team winning out on a 1-11 to 0-9 margin. In the Reserve ACFL game against Drumlane, Denn also came out winners on a 2-15 to 1-9 scoreline.
Under 16 League
Denn played their first game in Division 3 of the Under 16 League on Saturday against Castlerahan in Ballyjamesduff. Unfortunately the team were beaten by the home side on a scoreline of 5-9 to 4-7. Round 2 aganist Cuchullainns will be played on Sunday 29th March at 5pm in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys. Round 3 will be played on Tuesday 31st March against Belturbet at 6.45pm in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys.
Sliabh Glabh Drama Group
The Sliabh Glabh drama group will perform their production "Off the Hook" in the Town Hall Cavan on Tuesday 31st March at 8.30pm in aid of Denn GFC. Everyone is invited to come along and support for a good night's entertainment.
Denn GFC Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of Denn GFC will take place on Friday 27th March at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members are asked to attend.
McRory Cup
Congratulation to Denn GFC players Ben Conaty and Thomas Edward Donohoe and the St Patrick's College team and management who defeated St Patricks Dungannon on St Patrick's Day to win the McRory Cup. Good luck to the team and management on Saturday 28th March when they take on Kerry's PS Chorca Dhuibhne at 2pm in Nenagh.
Indoor Camogie
Continues every Monday night at the usual times.
Under 14 League
Denn will play in Division 4 of the Under 14 League against Cornafean, Drumgoon, Cootehill, Castlerahan, St Joseph's & Killinkere. The first game of the league is on Thursday 9th April. Denn have a bye in the first round and will play away to Castlerahan on Thursday 16th April in Round 2.
Under 12 Spring Football League
The Under 12 Spring Football League commences on Monday 30th March. Denn are in Group 3 with Gowna, Cornafean, Drumgoon, Dernacrieve Gaels, Cavan Gaels & St Joseph's. Denn will start their campaign on Monday 30th March at home to Cavan Gaels at 6.45pm in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys.
Club Membership
2014 Club Membership is now due. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club. Anyone that uses the club's facilities, even if it is only walking around the pitch must be fully paid up members to be insured. Social membership is also available for both individuals and families.Individual costs E15 and Families E30. Contact any committee member.
