Line-up of games confirmed for Cavan visit to New York
Cavan NY GFC to feature along with our Feile teams, New York Ladies team and the Manhattan Gaels
Draw made for the GAA World Games
The Gaelic Athletic Association of Greater New York in conjunction with the Cavan County Board, Cavan NY GFC, the Cavan County Association, the New York Ladies GFA and the New York Minor Board has confirmed the line-up of games which will take place over the weekend of the Mick Higgins Memorial Series.
Gaelic Park will be the venue on both Thursday April 9 and Sunday April 12 and it is hoped that the Gaels of New York will come out in big numbers to witness a wide array of Gaelic football.
Schedule for Thursday April 9:
New York v Cavan at 7.45pm
Cavan Intermediates v Manhattan Gaels, 6.15pm
Schedule for Sunday April 12:
New York Men v Cavan at 4.30pm
Cavan Ladies v New York Selection, 3pm
Feile Boys v Delco Gaels, 6pm
Feile Girls v St Brigids, 7.30pm
There will also be half-time games on Sunday involving players of the minor board
Meanwhile, the draw for the Etihad GAA World Games has been made.
Our men's team will play in Group A against European representatives Belgium, Asia GAA and North America GAA.
Our ladies' team will play in Group B against Europe, Australasia and Middle East 1.
