Celebration night for Denn GFC on December 28th
In the late 1980's Denn established themselves as one of the foremost teams at Intermediate level within Cavan - contesting the championship final in 1987 where the club lost to Cuchullains, However in 1988 and again in 1990 this setback was corrected with victories over Redhills and Belturbet.  On Sunday night December 28th Denn GFC have organised a night of celebration and a night to remember the players from these teams who represented the club and community with pride. With an eye to the future the club will also recognise this year's successful Minor team who won the League Division 3 title and were unlucky not to add a championship title.

The night will also include members of our Senior team who succeeded in retaining their league and Championship status in 2014. This will be a night for the club to come together to acknowledge the achievements of the past and to highlight the potential the  club has to once again be a force into the future. The evening will commence with mass in St Matthew's Church Crosskeys at 8pm to remember friends who are no longer here. Afterwards everyone will adjourn to the Carraig Springs where light refreshments will be served, along side some music and dancing where the team members from 1988/1990 will be presented with a memento of the occasion.

Members of both illustrious teams are making great efforts to be in attendance and all other club members and  players both past and present are invited to come along to recall epic victories and performances that will undoubtedly become legendary as the night progresses. Denn GFC hope to see out the old year recalling the past and look forward to the new year where we will create a host of new memories for the future. "See you all December 28th"
