Cavan amalgamation Southern Gaels are relishing the chance of taking on Crossmaglen this Sunday in the quarter-finals of the Kukri Sports Ulster Minor Club Champions Tournament at the St Paul's club in Belfast (1.30pm).

'We'll have no fears of Crossmaglen', says manager Sean McGahern, 'we'll give it a go', while midfielder Thomas Galligan is full of admiration for the Armagh club.

'Everyone looks forward to playing Crossmaglen. They are the best team in the country with the best history ever. It'll be great, we'll relish the challenge of playing them'.

Sean and Thomas were talking after their high-scoring and high-quality Preliminary Round defeat of Tyrone champions Moortown by 2-14 to 2-11 at the Dub Arena. Former Tyrone defender Paul Devlin, now in charge of Moortown wishes the Cavan lads the 'best of luck' in the next round.
