GAA :Congratulations to the Cornafean ladies who received their Ulster championship winners medals at a celebration function held in the Cavan Crystal Hotel on Saturday nite last. Roisin Barry and Deirbhile McCaffrey Cavan under 14, Amy Wharton Cavan under 16 and Helen McDermott Cavan Minors.

Christmas Party : Cornafean Active Age are holding a Christmas dinner and party in McSeains Cornafean next Sunday 14th December at 3pm in the afternoon. Cornafean Bowling Club: Practice continues every Tuesday night in the sports hall at 8pm. New Players are always welcome.
Christmas Whist:  The Cornafean Christmas whist drive takes place in McSeain's on Monday next the 15th of December starting at 8.30pm sharp. Hamper and extra spot prizes on the night, all support appreciated. New card players always welcome, with super served.

Scor na nOg news: Congratulations to our quiz team of David Cosgrove, Ciaran Cosgrove, James Cartwright and Patrick Martin who beat off stiff competition in Scor na nOg Table Quiz last Thursday night in the Hotel Kilmore. This was a hotly fought contest and went to several tie breakers before Cornafean came out winners. They are now through to the All Ireland Final next March. Well done boys.

Best of luck to Cornafean Ballad Group who are competing in Ulster Semi Final of Scor na nOg in Corcaghan, Co Monaghan next Saturday at 7pm. The five girls are Deirbhile and Brianna McCaffrey, Amy O' Reilly, Shauna Caffrey and Anna Tully and of course their mentor Geraldine McCaffrey. Best of luck to all.

Swimming : Well done to Meabh Masterson, Shauna Flood , Grace Madigan and Daniel Madigan who were great representatives for Coronea NS at the National Schools Swimming Gala last week.
