Under 21 Final
Hard luck to our under 21 team who were defeated by Naomh Brid (Butlersbridge, Drumalee and Redhills) in the Division 2 Final on Saturday last 1-11 to 1-7. The lads refused to throw in the towel despite going eight points down midway through the second half and managed to get the gap back to three points. However, Naomh Brid held on to seal the win.
AGM
The club's Annual General Meeting scheduled for last Sunday was cancelled due to the sudden illness of Paddy Gill and will be re-scheduled for January. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gill family. All positions are open for nomination. The positions of Vice-Chairperson/Underage Chairperson, Assistant Secretary, Underage Secretary and Health and Wellbeing Officer are vacant. Anyone interested in joining the committee is welcome to do so at the AGM.
Medal Presentation
The presentation of medals to our winning underage teams will take place in the clubrooms this Saturday December 13th at 5pm. All welcome.
Annual Horse Racing Event
The club's annual horse racing event will take place on St Stephens Day in the Copper Kettle, Kilnaleck. This is a very important fundraiser and the club would be very grateful if everyone could support it in whatever way they can.
St Pat's Cavan
Well done to Luke Tierney and the St Pats team who won the Corn Na Nog final this past Saturday, defeating St Pats Dungannon 1-9 to 1-6. Its St Pat's first trophy in this grade since 1972, well done lads.
Cavan Girls Ulster Winners
Congratulations to Eilish O'Reilly, Eimear Kelly, Caoimhe O'Reilly, Lucy McFarlane, Leah Cribbin, Katie Mulligan and Muireann Smith on being presented with their Ulster Medals on Saturday last. Well done girls.
