Seniors
Our seniors travelled to PJ Duke Park, Stradone on Sunday last to take on Laragh in the final Division 2 League promotion group match of the year and the lads came away with a 2-14 to 1-14 win. A goal from Eoin McGuigan in the first minute got Belturbet off to the best possible start with a trio of points from Cian Vaughan, Brendan Fitzpatrick and Jason O'Reilly sending us into an early 1-3 to 0-0 lead. Barry O'Reilly's 15th minute goal saw the Rory's leading 2-5 to 1-2 and we took a 2-8 to 1-6 lead into the half time interval. Early second half points from Enda, Brendan and Niall Lawlor eased Belturbet's lead out to 2-11 to 1-6 but Laragh fought back to make it 2-11 to 1-10. Two points from Enda and one from Barry sealed the three point win.

Subs: Conal McGinley, Mark O'Reilly, Stuart Dunne. Despite finishing on 16 points with eight wins from nine matches we were just pipped to the automatic promotion slot by Arva courtesy of their superior head to head difference. As a result Belturbet will now have to face Drumlane in a local West Cavan Derby clash with the victor being promoted to Division 1B.
West Cavan Gaels U21's
West Cavan Gaels(Belturbet, Templeport, Kildallan, Swanlinbar and Shannon Gaels) will face Assan Gaels(Cuchulainns, Killinkere & Lavey) in preliminary Round of U21 Division 1 Championship on Saturday November 8th at 7.30 p.m in the 3G Pitch, Kingspan Breffni Park.
Intermediate Player of the Year
Congratulations to our Senior forward Brendan Fitzpatrick who has been nominated for the 2014 Intermediate Player of the year alongside Cootehill's Enda Hessin and Ballyhaise's Kevin Tierney.

Our U13's drew 2-13 to 4-7 with Drumgoon in U13 Division 3 championship on Saturday afternoon last in Boyle Park.
