Sharon Leathem : No death in recent times caused more grief and heartbreak than that of Mrs Sharon Leathem, (nee Carroll), Killavelly, Crossdoney - a native of Limerick. Sharon following her marriage and together with her devoted husband, Ray took up residence at their home at Killavelly where Sharon quickly endeared herself to the entire community by her courtesy, kindness friendship and hospitality. Deceased was one of natures kindest people whose death at such an early age following a short illness has shocked her community while neighbours relatives and countless friends felt numbed with sadness. It is her loving husband Ray and two darling children who will feel the tragedy most of all. To her husband Ray, children Jamie and Keira, parents Bernie and Matthew Carroll, mother in law and father in law Seamus and Kathleen Leathem, sisters in law Patricia and Geraldine, brothers in law, nieces, nephews cousins and a large family, we extend the heartfelt sympathy of our community. The funeral which was among the largest ever in the parish and bore ample testimony of the esteem with which the deceased and her family are held throughout the region took place on Tuesday following concelebrated mass in St Patrick's Church, Drumcor to the family burial ground. May her gentle soul rest in peace and may almighty God comfort and console her family and relatives.
