Seniors
Our Seniors drew 2-12 to 0-18 with Shercock after extra time in the Intermediate Championship Quarter Final Replay. First Half goals from Enda Henry and Barry O'Reilly saw us take a 2-5 to 0-7 lead into the half time break. Our Captain Kevin McConnell's 43rd minute red card swung the game back in Shercock's favour as they drew level with just under ten minutes left to play. Jason O'Reilly's free looked to have clinched the win for us but Shercock countered up the field to get a last gasp equaliser to leave it 2-7 to 0-13 after full time. Shercock held a 0-18 to 2-10 lead at half time in Extra time. Enda Henry's free and a Brendan Fitzpatrick point levelled the game up but once again neither side could find a late winner. U16's
Commiserations to our U16 team and management trio of Kieran McCaffrey, Sean Lawlor and Patsy Teevan on their 4-19 to 3-7 defeat to Laragh Utd in the U16 Division 2 Championship Final Replay in Killygarry on Saturday last. Laragh raced out of the traps in the first half attacking relentlessly and they held a massive 3-14 to 1-1 lead at half time with our first half scores coming from a John Joe Collins goal and a Conor Tully point. The lads turned in a much improved second half performance notching 2-6 to Laragh's 1-5 total. Our U16's had an excellent year winning the Division 3 League title and runners up in the Division 2 Championship and great credit goes to the players and management for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year. They gave us many great moments throughout the year and have very bright futures ahead of them with the Rory's.
