Senior Championship

Our seniors drew with Lacken in Bréifne Park on Friday night last. Exchanges were close throughout and both sides had chances to register a victory. The replay is on Friday night at 8.15pm.  Best of luck to our lads.

Under-10s

Our under-10s took part in the Drumlane tournament on Saturday last. Thanks to the Drumlane club for their invitation to take part in their under-8 and under-10 tournaments and for their hospitality. Míle buíochas.

Under-8s

Well done to our under-8s who, having won all their five games in the Drumlane tournament on Saturday last, took home the trophy. Well done to the players and to the management team of Paul McKiernan, Doc Smith and Brendan Connolly.

John Fee Day

Our annual John Fee Day will take place in Terry Coyle Park on Saturday next 20 September. There will be many underage games for boys and girls as well as lots of fun activities for young and old. Parents and other members are asked to bring up items for the cake sale which will take place on the day. Please note that the games and other activities start at 10am. Support for this day from all aspects of the club will be most welcome. The following trophies will be presented on Saturday next: the John Fee Memorial Trophy, the Hughie Smith Memorial Trophy, the Ruairí Dunne Memorial Trophy and the Brother Cyril Plaque. This day commemorates, in particular, former Cavan Gaels stalwart John Fee who passed away ten years ago on 22 November 2004. We also recall the close association between Cavan Gaels club and Brother Cyril, the late Hughie Smith and the late Ruairí Dunne.

Under-14

Hard luck to our under-14s who were narrowly defeated by St Joseph's in Killeshandra on Monday week last. We have a bye this week.

Thanks to all those who have already joined the Friends of Cavan Gaels and in doing so have made a very important contribution to our club's development plans. We would encourage those members, at home and abroad, who have not joined so far, to consider joining the Friends of Cavan Gaels.
We are glad to report that work has commenced on this project.
