Ladies Football Clothing Collection : We are having a collection on Saturday the 4-Oct.  We can accept black bags of clothes, shoes, handbags, towels, teddies, curtains and bedding(no duvets). Bags can be left at the pitch every Saturday morning between 10-11am and every Tuesday evening between 6-7pm.  Thank you for your continued support.

Race Night : Cornafean Club's annual fundraising night at the races will take place in McSeain's lounge on Saturday night 27th September. Horses are   on sale at the moment from club members and hopefully a big effort from all involved will help to defer the   cost of all the recent developments at our club grounds. Anyone needing extra race cards or who may  be aware of a business or persons who might like to sponsor the races can contact Paddy Mc Dermott, Neal Tully or Brian Mc Caffrey. All support over the next couple of weeks will be greatly appreciated.

Scόr na nOg: It's coming close to Scόr time again, with first rounds taking place on 16th November.  Anyone wishing to take part in any of the disciplines please contact Geraldine 087 1266980 or Marie 087 9435933 immediately.  Also please note County Scόr AGM takes place in Kilmore Hotel on Monday 22nd September at 8pm.

Whist:  The next Cornafean whist drive takes place in McSeain's on Monday next 22nd of September starting at 9pm sharp. New card players always welcome, with super served.

The 11th annual Gallant 15km Challenge: The Annual 15K Challenge in aid of St Christopher's Hospice Cavan takes place Saturday 25th October 2014. Main sponsor is MacManus Pharmacies Cavan. People can either walk, run or cycle the 15km from Cavan to Cornafean or choose the smaller course of Ballinagh to Cornafean. Over the previous 10 years the Challenge has been an outstanding success raising 289,000 euro for this wonderful cause. The Thunder Rolls Garth Brooks Charity Concert featuring a host of very talented Carrigallen artists took place in the Breffni Arms Hotel Arvagh last Saturday 13th September in aid of Saint Christopher's Hospice Cavan. Singing sensation Priest Father Ray Kelly also performed on the night. It was an absolutely outstanding nights entertainment and it was a credit to all those who performed.  Sincere thanks to the Carrigallen artists fronted by Pat Doonan, Daniel Minma on sound, Father Ray Kelly, Ian Hall who sang on the night, Eamonn and Philomena Gray, Fosters Chemists and Keith's Hardware for the spot prizes, all those who came along and to anyone who helped out on the night. A fantastic sum of 2,000 euro was raised on the night and on behalf of Saint Christopher's Hospice Cavan your support was very much appreciated. Well done again to everyone involved!!! 

GAA : Cornafean take on Arva in the Junior Championship semi final this Saturday at 6.30pm in Kingspan Breffni Park. All support welcome.
