Peter Donnelly is poised to join Tyrone manager Mickey Harte's backroom team.
Donnelly has been working as a GAA development officer in Cavan where he earned a reputation as an outstanding coach, having been involved with the county's minor, U21 and senior management set-ups in recent years. He is the holder of a degree in Sports & Exercise Science from UUJ.
As a player, he won All-Ireland minor, U21 and senior medals under Mickey Harte, and was joint-captain of Jordanstown's 2008 Sigerson Cup-winning side.
The Coalisland man will fill one of the voids left by former Tyrone assistant manager Tony Donnelly and Fergal McCann, who both stepped down a month ago.
