Cavan juniors
Congratulations to Paul Smith, Fergal Reilly, David Wright and the Cavan junior team and management on their historic All-Ireland victory over Kerry in Portlaoise last Saturday.

5k walk/run
The club is organising a 5k walk/run to be held on Friday, 5th September. Entry will be €5 for U16s, €10 per adult or €20 for a family. Sponsorship cards will be distributed to underage players - anybody returning a sponsorship card enters the run for free. Registration will be from 6pm with the run beginning at 7pm. Light refreshments afterwards for all participants.

'It's a Knockout' team challenge and fun day
On Sunday, 7th September the club will host a fun day in Fay Park to coincide with our "It's a Knockout" challenge which will see teams of 6 people (to include a minimum of 2 female team members) compete against each other and the clock to make it to a head-to-head final between the top two teams. Maybe you'd like to enter as a family, a group of friends, colleagues or neighbours? The challenges will be suitable for all levels of fitness and agility and will be a bit of craic! There will be a barbecue, live music, bouncy castles, ducking chair, novelty races and much more besides at the fun day. This will be a great day out, not to be missed!

Club gear
The first order of O'Neill's club gear is now available for collection from Coleman's on Stradone Street. Orders can still be placed for club gear. The range includes a hooded top, half zip training top (in pink also), t-shirt, polo shirt, rain jacket, full zip training top, tracksuit and shorts. Sizes available for children are from 5-6 years of age to 13-14 years of age. Adult sizes include small, medium, large and extra-large. Senior championship
Our senior team contest Round 2a of the championship on Sunday evening at 7.30pm in Kingspan Breffni Park. Opposition will be provided by Ramor United.

Reserve championship
Our reserve team had a comfortable 3-12 to 0-07 victory over Lacken in the championship play-off on Friday evening last in Mullahoran and now progress to the semi-final stage of the competition. Fixture to be confirmed.​

Minor
Our minor team exited the championship at the hands of Southern Gaels on Tuesday evening having been defeated on a scoreline of Castlerahan 3-06 to 2-13 Southern Gaels. Thanks to the boys and their mentors, Vincie Conaty and Enda O'Connell, for their endeavours during the season.

Hurling
Well done to our U11 hurlers and their mentors who represented our club and county at the National Community Games in Athlone over the weekend, meeting the representatives of Roscommon, Kildare and Meath over the three days. We hope everybody had an enjoyable experience.

U14
​Our U14 team has been grouped with Templeport, Kingscourt, St. Joseph's and Cavan Gaels in the Division 2 championship which will commence on Monday, 1st September. The boys will host Templeport in the opening round at 6.30pm.

U12
Hard luck to our U12s who were defeated in the semi-final of the summer league by Lavey on Thursday evening last.
