Denn GFC Club Notes
Blotto Draw
The Blotto Draw took place in The Tank on Monday 18th August. The winning numbers were 6,8,14,22. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of E25 were Pat Tierney, Ellen Keogan, Thomas Broe, Tom & Rosemarie Caffrey, Shane Galligan. The next draw will be on Monday 25th August in The Crosskeys Inn. Jackpot is now E8,200.
Minor Championship
Denn travelled to Ballymachugh on Thursday evening last to face Sheelin Gaels in Round 1 of the Cavan Minor B Championship. After a very tight game, the team came away with a victory on a 3-15 to 4-11 scoreline.
Senior Championship
Denn were defeated by Ramor United in the Hotel Kilmore Senior Championship on Sunday last on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-9. The team now face Ballinagh in Round 2B on Saturday 30th August at 6.30pm in Kingspan Breffni Park.
Under 16 Championship
Denn lost to Laragh Utd in the Under 16 Championship Division 2 semi-final on Sunday last on a scoreline of 5-12 to 2-12.
Denn Camogie
Congrats to the Denn Minor Camogie Team on their win against Drumgoon / Kill in the Camogie final on Sunday last & also Emer Tennyson on receiving Player of the Match Award. Great Achievement !
U-14 Camogie Team will travel to Athlone this weekend to compete in Community Games - more details will be posted during the week
Under 8 & Under 10 football
The Denn Under 8 and Under 10 footballers participate in "Group White" for the 2014 series of Go Games alongside Arva, Belturbet, Cavan Gaels, Cornafean, Castlerahan and Drumlane.Below is the proposed Go Games fixtures for Denn. All Go Games are scheduled to be played on Saturday mornings from 10.30am. The first named team will host the Go Games on the day indicated.
Game 12 Saturday 6th September: Denn v Cornafean
Game 13 Saturday 13th September: Cavan Gaels v Denn
Game 14 Saturday 20th September: Denn v Castlerahan
Club Membership
2014 Club Membership is now due. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club. Anyone that uses the club's facilities, even if it is only walking around the pitch must be fully paid up members to be insured. Contact any committee member. Social Membership is now also available.
