Ladies GAA : Congratulations and well done to the Cornafean Ladies who won the Ladies Junior Final in Kingspan Breffni Park on Sunday last. From the word go, Miranda McIntyre and Orla McGovern ment business winning and making all the breaks around the middle of the field. Up front Rebacca Smith, Catherine Sheridan and Aishling Smith piled on the pressure with some impressive scores. Aoife Miney was solid in goals and made some impressive saves to keep the Reds in contention. In defence Edel Sheridan was as solid as ever with Amy Wharton, Ciara Duffy and Helen McDermott watching her back. Shannon Laheen and Caroline King were a constant thorn in Shercock defence and never quit battling. Gemma Wilson when introduced kept putting pressure on Shercock. The final score on the day was 4-05 to 2-03. Aishling Smith got rewarded for her efforts winning player of the match award. Thanks to Eamonn Gaffney, Mary McGibney and all management for all their hard work and effort.

GAA : Cornafean qualified for the Breffni League final on Sunday last by beating Butlersbridge on Sunday last in Templeport. A good team effort was rewarded by a place in the final. See local press for details.

Special Abilities Group : Butterflies Special Abilities group is a group set up for Children and Adults with Special Abilities. We have a summer camp in Killeshandra every year from Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th August in the resource center, Killeshandra.
