Ulster managers facing uncertain futures

There are question marks over the futures of at least two football managers in Ulster this evening.

The tenures of Cavan manager Terry Hyland and his Down counterpart James McCartan are bound to come under the microscope over the coming days following their side's dismal All-Ireland Qualifier exits at the hands of Roscommon and Kildare respectively. McCartan led Down to the brink of All-Ireland glory in 2010, but their fortunes have plummeted a long way since then and he may now decide to hand the reins over to somebody else.

Tyrone's most successful manager, Mickey Harte, has said he will be staying on after his side were surprisingly knocked out of the championship by Armagh in Omagh.
