April 23, 2014Our seniors picked up their second Division 2 league Promotion victory on Sunday last when they defeated Ballymachugh by 1-13 to 1-7 in Sheelin Park. The lads carried a 1-7 to 0-5 lead into half time and had increased the lead to 1-13 to 0-5 with seven minutes of the match remaining. Ballymachugh shot a late 1-2 in the last five minutes but it was in vain as we ran out comfortable six point winners. This result leaves us joint top of the table with Swanlinbar and Arva on four points. Cavan Seniors
Best of luck to Damien and the Cavan seniors who face Roscommon in the Division 3 league final in Croke Park this Saturday evening April 26th at 7pm.
U16's
Congratulations to our U16's who defeated Cornafean by an impressive 7-10 to 1-9 in the U16 Division 3 League semi final in Killeshandra on Sunday evening last. They now face St.Finbarr's(Drung & Kill) in U16 Division 3 league final which takes place this Sunday April 27th at 4pm in Kingspan Breffni Park. Belturbet U16 team v Cornafean: Caolan Smith, Luke Smith, James McCaffrey, Killian Murray, Killian Collins, Fionnan O'Reilly, Brian Wallace(0-1), Killian Teevan(0-3 2f), Andrew Dunne(1-0), Daniel Vesey, Conor Tully(1-1 1p), John Joe Collins(3-3 1f), Sean Og Lawlor(2-2). U12's
Our U12's travelled to Milltown on Thursday evening last in Round 4 of the Spring football league and unfortunately came away with a 0-27 to 0-4 defeat to Drumlane. Our U12's are back in league action this Friday April 25th when we host Templeport at 7.15 p.m in Belturbet.
Minors
Our Minors game with Drumgoon in Minor Division 4 league yesterday evening Tuesday was called off. They are due to face Killinkere in Jim Smith Memorial Park on Tuesday next April 29th.
U14's
Our U14's begin their Division 2 League campaign with an away trip to Bawnboy to face Templeport this evening Wednesday April 23rd at 7.15 p.m
Cavan U21's
Commiserations to the Cavan U21's and management team who were defeated by 0-11 to 0-10 by Dublin in the All Ireland Semi final in Portlaoise on Saturday evening last.
Ladies 9-A-Side League
Our ladies defeated Lacken in the Division 1 9-A-Side League semi final on Easter Monday last April 21st. The ladies how face Lurgan in the Division 1 9-A-Side league final this Sunday April 27th with a scheduled throw in time of 5.15 p.m with the game due to be held in the 3G Pitch, Kingspan Breffni Park. Check club twitter account for any time or venue change to fixture details.
