RIP Tommy Charlie Sheridan

We as a club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family of Tommy Charlie Sheridan on his passing last week. The Sheridans are deeply embedded in the community and the GAA and Tommy has grandsons currently playing with Ballinagh at senior and underage levels and Thomas is involved in a coaching role at the underage levels in the club. Our Thoughts are with Tommy’s children, his daughters Nuala Mary, Rosaleen, Joan, Therese and Olive and his son Tommy, his brother Michael and Sean, his grandchildren, great grandchild, daughter in law, sons in law, nieces, nephews and all his relatives and friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam.

 

 

Field Closure

We would like to remind everyone that the football field remains closed to the general public until we are instructed otherwise

We would like to thank our members and wider members of the community for continuing to adhere government guidelines with regards to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Can you please continue to wash you hands, refrain from touching your face, sneeze into a tissue and then dispose of it and cough into you elbow. The football field remains closed. Wheelie Bin – Cavan County Local Development – WE NEED YOU

Cavan County Local Development have placed a number of Wilton Waste Wheelie Bins with a poster attached saying “WE NEED YOU” attached to them in various supermarkets. We would appreciate your generosity if you could donate an item or two to the food centres so families across Cavan can provide food.

 

Ballinagh Food Centre - Cavan County Local Development

Cavan County Local Development in partnership with Cavan County Civil Defence and An Garda Siochana  are running a Food Distribution Centre from the community centre Ballinagh from 2 to 4pm on Tuesdays. This facility has been set up for families and people who may be struggling with food shopping expenses at this time as well as those unable to leave their homes. Ideally this will be a delivery service to your home by phoning or texting 0872700626 leaving your name, address, phone number and if possible your area code.  Murtagh’s Pharmacy is now on board with this initiative too so if you need a prescription please ring Murtagh’s in the morning before 1pm and they will drop it down to us for delivery

 

Lotto Results

The numbers drawn for the week ending 18/5/20 were 11-14-15-30, No Jackpot winner. Winners of the €25 are Rosaleen Smith (Online), Nuala Tyler, Madge Fleming, Martin Joey O’Reilly. The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end of the month was Bridget Delaney. Next week's jackpot is €11’800. Tickets can be bought in any local establishment or online at smartlotto.ie. We would like to thank you all for your continued support of Ballinagh GAA. Just get your fuel with McCaughey fuels online and receive a token and place them in boxes which are in both Gavin's and Moore's. The tokens will go towards free equipment / gear for the GAA club.
