Cavan came away from Enniskillen with their third successive victory, defeating Fermanagh by 2-11 to 1-11.

Both goals arrived within a glorious ten-minute purple patch in the second half for Mickey Graham’s men, full back Padraig Faulkner and midfielder Thomas Galligan netting in the 51st and 60th minutes respectively.

The Ernemen opened the scoring with an Ultan Kelm goal in the fifth minute but the visitors replied with five unanswered points from Gearoid McKiernan (3), Oisin Pierson and Oisin Kiernan, only for Conall Jones to hit back with a brace.

Pierson and Chris Conroy replied to Aidan Breen’s point but it was Fermanagh who finished the first half strongest with points from Ciaran Corrigan and Ryan Jones to lead by the minimum at the break, 1-5 to 0-7.

Ten minutes after the restart, Kiernan drew the sides level again, 0-9 to 1-6, but the game-breakers came as both Faulkner and Galligan took it in turns to make the most of high deliveries and plant the ball in the Fermanagh net.
