Breffni All Stars

Congratulations to Jamie Leahy, Paul Smith, Enda O'Connell, Cormac Daly, Oisin O'Connell and Ronan Flanagan who have been named on the Breffni All Stars Senior Team of the Year. The team will be honoured at the Cavan GAA awards banquet which takes place on Friday, 22 November in the Hotel Kilmore. The Senior Player of the Year will be announced on the night with the shortlist being revealed in this week's edition of the Anglo Celt. Well done lads from everybody in the club on your awards - hard earned and well deserved!

Ballyjamesduff Cancer Support Fund

A cheque for €12,303.00 raised during last year's Shave or Dye night organised by the senior players was presented to Ballyjamesduff Cancer Support Fund in recent weeks. Well done to all involved in raising this great sum, with all proceeds remaining in the local community.

Blotto Results for 28 October.

Numbers drawn: 4, 5, 23 & 30. No jackpot winner. Five prizes of €30 each to the following: McGuinness Family (Eighter), Kathleen Brady, Paul Heaney, Stephen Fitzsimons Jnr and Louise Brant. Thanks to everybody for their support in buying and selling the blotto over the three weeks that the club had it.

Senior

Hard luck to our senior team who exited the Ulster club championship at the hands of Naomh Conaill of Donegal last Sunday week. The club would like to convey our thanks to the players and their management team for their hard work throughout what has been another exceptional year for our club in completing the back-to-back double of league and championship titles.

U20

Our U20 team were defeated in round 2 of the championship on Friday evening last on the 3G at Kingspan Breffni. Full-time scoreline: Castlerahan 1-9 to 1-13 Laragh United. Round 3 v St. Joseph's was due to be played on Sunday afternoon but was called off on account of a bereavement in the Killeshandra club. The game has been refixed for Sunday at 2pm in Ballyjamesduff.

U17 & U15

Our U17s brought their year to a close with a day of paintball activities in Carrick-on-Shannon last Saturday week while the U15s enjoyed a day's activities in Tanagh Outdoor Education and Training Centre in Cootehill last Saturday.

U13

Hard luck to our U13 Division 2 team who were defeated in the championship semi-final by a stronger Butlersbridge side last Saturday week. The boys and their mentors - Vincie Conaty, Ciaran Macken, Sean Rooney, Mickey Caldwell and Shane O'Reilly - put in a tremendous effort throughout the year and we, as a club are grateful for all of their hard work. We, and the mentors, also wish to thank Ciaran Murphy and Brian Toland for their help, when called upon, throughout the year and to Brian Coleman at BC Fitness for providing training sessions for the team. It is a great reflection of the strength of numbers playing football at this age group that we were fortunate to be able to field two teams this year and we would like to encourage all to stick at it.

Cumann na mBunscol

Hard luck to Castlerahan National School who were defeated in the Division 3 Cumann na mBunscol final by Gowna last Saturday afternoon.
