Cavan's McKiernan to make Gaels switch

Cavan midfielder Gearoid McKiernan is leaving his recently relegated club Swanlinbar to join senior side Cavan Gaels.
The Anglo Celt reports that no official request for the move has been made yet but the former Breffni County captain revealed his intentions to the St Mary's club.
29-year-old McKiernan was facing the prospect of playing junior football championship next year after Swanlinbar's relegation play-off defeat to Ramor United last month.
McKiernan's switch will be granted on the grounds that he has been living in the parish of Cavan town.
