Fund Raising
Our major fundraiser for this year is a "Monster Race Night", which will take place on Sat 12th Oct. The race cards for this event will be distributed to all senior players (ladies & men) and all families of underage in the coming days. Thanks to your efforts last year was a big success, and that continued effort & support will make this another success. Looking forward to the 12th of October.
U17S
Southern Gales u17s hosted Killygarry on Tuesday last in round 3 of the div1 championship the were up against a strong Killygarry side and lost by 3_14 to 0_12
Round 4 is away to Dernacrieve Gales on Tuesday 10th September.

Just a reminder that the medal presentation to our successful U17 & U21 Southern Gaels teams will take place on Sat 7th Sept in McSeains Cornafean.

Southern Gales U17 are playing Dernacrive Gales on Friday in Corlough at 7pm
U13
First rd of championship on Saturday at 2pm against Cavan Gales away.
Our u11s had a good game away against Mullahoran last Saturday.
Senior championship
Our senior team suffered a disappointing loss to Killygarry in round 4 of the championship. In a game played in Butlersbridge on Saturday evening last in perfect condition's we fell behind early and never led 2 quick goals close to half time left Killygarry leading by 8pts at the break. In the second half Gowna got 2 goals of their own but Killygarry were always on top and won by 4 points final score Killygarry 2_15 Gowna 2_11
We had already qualified for the quarter finals and will now meet Ramor Utd in 2 week's time .
Gowna ladies
Congratulations to our Senior ladies win against Bailieboro on Sat 31st Aug. The girls were crowned Intermediate Championship winners with a final score of Gowna 2.13 Bailieboro 3.5. The team and management must be commended for their hard work and determination over the year. They will now progress to Ulster in the coming weeks. Also well done to our u10 team who put in a great effort at half time of the final. We hope you enjoyed your day too.
U11 girls play Ballinagh on Monday 2nd Sept in Ballinagh.
