Clg Cuchulainn club notes

July 22, 2019

Junior.

Our juniors completed the group phase of the Division 1 Reserve Champioship with a disappointing loss against an impressive young Crosserlough Team in Kilnaleck on Saturday night. Much soul searching is needed, to explain a 15 point turn around after leading by 6 points at half time, if our Juniors are to continue to develop and progress in the championship. Three points maybe enough to progress but unfortunately other results will decide our  faith.

2.  5 Peak Challenge; Peak 3 - Slieve Donard, August 25th. This will be our longest challenge yet but we are well up for the task. All very welcome to join in this most enjoyable way to spend a Sunday. Contact Dave (086 1928909) or Deirdre (087 9682412) if have any questions.

3. Mullagh Sports Development. Exciting times.

(i) Pitch Development ; We are delighted to announce that Micheal Hyland won the tendering competition and will be commencing work on our new pitch in Mullagh in mid August.

(ii) Biodiversity Walkway; A study on the biodiversity walk has commenced and will be completed by September 6th.

U15 boys

Hard luck to the u15 boys who came up short against Lacken in the first round of the championship. The lads recovered from conceeding  an early goal to lead 2-4 to 2-2  at the break. Unfortunately we picked up  a couple of injuries and Lacken  kicked on to win 3-9 to 2-9. Well done to all the players on their efforts.
