Division 2 Reserve Championship
Cornafean 8-18  Cootehill 0-15

The Reserve Reds qualified for the Semi Final of the years Division 2 Championship with a comprehensive win over visitors Cootehill to Pairc Naoimh Fionnan on a thundery and wet Friday evening.  A very good all round team performance complete with some clinical finishing from the Reds forward line provided the victory despite the best efforts of the Cootehill men.  Three first half goals from the in form Aodhgan Smith gave the Reds a winning platform at half time and further goals followed in the second period with strikes from Dean Kilkenny, Cullan McSeain, Adrian McCaffrey 2 and A. Smith again.  Best for the Reds were N. Corcoran, C. McSeain and G. Olwill in defence, the midfield of N. Sheridan and D. Kilkenny were excellent and up front A. Smith and A. McCaffrey were most dangerous.  Best of luck to the team in their upcoming semi final.
