Seniors

Our Seniors ended their Division 2 League season with two wins. They defeated Shercock by 3-13 to 2-13 in the first game back in our newly re-furbished and modernised Rory O'Moore Park pitch on Wednesday evening last. Our Seniors then overcame Butlersbridge by 1-17 to 2-11 on Sunday last in Emmett Park. Belturbet team v Bridge: Cian Vaughan, Kevin McConnell, Mark Lawlor, Fionan O’Reilly(0-2), Luke Smith, Shane Fitzpatrick, Conal McGinley(0-3), Enda Henry(1-6 6f), Eoin McGuigan, Niall Lawlor, Mark Teevan(0-2), Cormac Donohoe, Donal McDonald(0-1), Brendan Fitzpatrick(C)(0-2), Conor Vaughan(0-1). Reserves

Belturbet defeated Shannon Gaels by 1-17 to 1-10 on Friday evening last in the second round ot he Division 3 Reserve Championship in Rory O'Moore Park. Leading by 1-8 to 1-5 at half time Belturbet kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout to run out seven point victors in the end. Conor Vaughan was our first half goalscorer with points coming from Conor, Sean OG, Evan, Mark Tully, Jack, James, Killian and the returning Gareth Fitzpatrick. Special shout out to Gareth Fitzpatrick who made his return to the Rorys jersey - great to have you back. Our Reserves take on Arva in Michael Cully Park this Friday July 19 at 8pm in Round 3 of the Championship.

 

Cavan Ladies

Congratulations to Cavan Ladies on their fantastic 3-18 to 6-8 win over Armagh on Saturday last in St.Aidan's Park, Bawnboy in the TG4 All Ireland Senior Championship Qualifier.

 

Cavan U16 Girls

Hard luck to Gemma Beatty, Laura Brown and the Cavan U16 Ladies on their 3-12 to 1-8 defeat to Meath on Wednesday evening last in the All Ireland A Semi Final in Monaghan.

 

U15s

Our U15s suffered a heavy first round defeat to Cavan Gaels in the opening round of the Division 3 Championship in Terry Coyle Park on Tuesday July 9. Our U15s take on Drumlane in Rory O'Moore Park in Round 2 tomorrow evening Thursday at 7.30 p.m.

Belturbet GFC Cul Camps

Cul Camps take place in our fully re-furbished Rory O'Moore Park Grounds the week of the 29 of July to the 2 of August Inclusive. There will be hurling, football and Camogie running with Andy McGovern the Camp Supervisor. Online registration via www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.

However, registration can take place on the Monday morning at camp venue from 9:30am. Camps times are 10am to 2:30pm. For more information please contact Tessa Mulligan on 0876738190. We look forward to welcoming you all then.

 

Belturbet Golf Club

Belturbet Golf Club are doing an offer of €242 for 2 years for a Beginner Golfer or €242 for a returning golfer who hasn't played golf for 2 years for 1 year.

 

Club Membership 

Club Membership is now due for 2019. The funds are needed and much appreciated as it is going directly into the account for the much needed re-development of our club grounds which are nearing the final completion stage.  Many thanks for your continued strong and loyal support for our club. Family Membership in Club Belturbet is €300 for the year or €240 for the year for an individual membership in Club Belturbet. This will entitle members to free entry into all Belturbet games at underage and senior level as well as having their name entered into the weekly club lotto draw. If any member wishes to purchase the regular membership the fee for the year is €50. Membership fees for 2019 can be returned  to our club chairman Mark Lawlor, Secretary Paul O'Reilly, Treasurer Alan Traynor or indeed any of the club committee.
