Sing for Me Music Festival
Well done to Leanne Coyle, Drumbess, her family and friends on their recent music festival fundraiser which was staged in Blessings Bar, Cavan on the 5th-6th July with all monies raised going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. Last year's inaugural event was a huge success with proceeds going to SOSAD but this year Leanne is donating monies raised to the Kevin Bell Organisation. It was a memorable two days and nights of music in Cavan with many musicians and singers travelling from all over the country to showcase their talents all in aid of a worthy cause. There was a great atmosphere at the event with over 500 people attending over 500 people attending over the two days. Well done to Leanne and her team and no doubt she will do it all again next year in aid of a worthy cause.

Football Update
Hard luck to the Senior Reds who on Sunday last completed their Division 2 campaign with a defeat away to a strong Ballyhaise team. With Division 2 status secure and some Senior players still out with injuries it was a chance for some of the young players to get game time. Well done to the Reserve Reds who have lost one and won one of their two games in the Division 2 Reserve Championship. They continue their quest for honours in this years competition with a game due to be played on Friday evening 19th July. Fixture and venue to be confirmed. The Senior Ladies continue their build up to this years Intermediate Championship with ongoing training and challenge games.

CLUB NOTES
Division 2 ACFL
Ballyhaise 3-13 Cornafean 1-10
Despite a hardworking performance where Cornafean competed with Ballyhaise for long periods of the game, it was their inability to execute goal chances which eventually cost them the game. Ballyhaise was a very strong physical team and were more clinical taking their goal chances when presented. The Reds will be happy to have secured their place in Division 2 and will now look forward to the Intermediate Championship in two weeks time.

Reserve Reds
Continued success to the Cornafean Senior Reserves in the Division 2 Championship. After a disappointing initial deficit to Killinkere the lads recorded an excellent victory over Drumalee on Friday last in Cornfean on a scoreline of Cornafean 5-16 Drumalee 2-20
Next round of games will be this Friday night with opposition and venues to be decided on Monday night.
Well Done Conor
Well done to Conor Kilkenny, Cornafean Underage who played in the half time games in Clones during the recent Cavan v Donegal Ulster Final.
Cavan Ladies
Well done to the Cavan Senior lady footballers on their recent great victory over Armagh in Round 1 of the All Ireland Qualifiers. Aine Brady, Cornfean ladies is now a panel member and wish Aine and team and management continued success in the All Ireland series.
Leader Funding
Cornafean GFC are delighted to announce to its members that our application for Leader funding has been successful. The €56,138 which we have been granted will be used to tarmac our existing car park which will enhance our facilities greatly. Well done to our very proactive and hard working Development Committee.
Cul Camps
Cul Camps is taking place in Cornafean this week from 15th to 19th July. We wish all taking part a great week full of fun.
