Junior Team; our Junior team will return to action this Friday/ Sunday V's Ballyhaise (away).  Time and day to be confirmed through usual sources.

Senior Team; our senior team gave a very mixed performance on Friday night against a depleted Bailieborough Shamrocks in Bailieborough. Any team that concedes 3-14 can hardly expect to win yet scoring 20 points would normally be sufficient to win many a game. A dramatic improvement in our defensive performance and creating more goal opportunities from our impressive offensive play will be required if we are to expect to contend later in the year. Next up is a home game V's Belturbet on Saturday in Mullagh. Time will be confirmed through usual sources.

ST. KILIANS

A very strong St Kilians team overcame Shercock this morning in Shercock.

An early goal from Ruth Smyth set the scene for a high scoring game from St Kilians with follow on goals from Aimee Flanagan, and Maria Brady and some nice points from the Carpenter sisters Lauren and Ciara and  Ashley McCabe. Muireann McGovern and Amanda McQuaid impressed in defence.

Final score St Kilians 7/14, Shercock 3 points.

U15 BOYS

Well done to our U15 team who played phenomenally throughout to progress to the final after an entertaining hard fought victory over Bailieborough. The lads found themselves 2-4 to 7 points down at halftime but dug deep in the second half and Conor O'Reilly's goal gave us the lead that we never gave up. It was a fantastic all round team display. We will now play Shercock in the final on Saturday.

U13 BOYS

On Tuesday our Div 1 team played a nail biting game of football against Bailieboro in Mullagh. Bailieboro took a huge lead by the first half and we fought back to even scores but unfortunately Bailieboro won out with a final point.

Result Cuchulainns 3-5 v Bailieboro 0-15

On Wednesday our Dis 5 boys met a very strong Castlerahan side. We battled hard but were unable to match their scoring. Result Cuchulainns 1-8 vs Castlerahan 5-14

On Friday our u13 Div 5 boys played outstanding football to record a strong win awsy against Bailieboro before the Senior game. Every player put on a great display for the supporters. Result Cuchulainns 7-10 vs Bailieboro 0-4.

On Saturday a panel of u14 Cuchulainns players competed this morning in the Feile qualifiers in Ramor. We played games against Munterconnaught MacFinns and then Butletsbridge. We were narrowly defeated by Munterconnaught MacFinns in the first game and lost to very strong Butlersbridge who were eventual winners.

U10 GIRLS

Clg Cuchulainn girls Under10’s won 3 from 3 Saturday to win Bailieborough Blitz 🇭🇳

U12 GIRLS

On Friday evening our U12 girls played their last Spring league game at home against Lavey.

On a perfect evening for football, our girls showed great spirit and determination a much fancied Lavey outfit.

From the throw in, our girls got stuck in and showed great courage with some of their tackling, which has greatly improved over the course of the league campaign. Our aim for this game was to make use of the space that is out on the wings, and let our players make the runs in to this space to collect the ball. Overall, this tactic worked well.

All of the girls got plenty of game time in this match.

Final score Cuchulainns 7 Lavey 13

Good luck to Lavey for the remainder of the competition.
