A Night Of Stars

Ballinagh GAA are delighted to announce and present Country and Showband Night Of Stars Concert on the bank holiday Sunday the 28th of October in Ballinagh Community Centre. Featuring some of Irelands best known Showband performers such as Kathy Durkin, Simon Casey, Tony Kenny, Gary Gamble, Keith & Lorraine, Andreas Durkin plus a very special guest. The backing band on the night will be brilliantly talented Busy Fingers. There will be a fully licensed bar and plenty of entertainment and dancing. Show starting at 8:30pm. Tickets are €25 and are available from Barney Macs, Moore’s Spar, committee members, players, and on the door on the night. A donation will be made to the Children’s Ward of Cavan General Hospital on behalf of the club. Be sure not to miss what is sure to be a great night.

Lotto Results

The numbers drawn for the week ending 24/9/18 were 3-9-12-19, No Jackpot winner. Winners of the €25 are Oliver Comiskey (Lisenanagh), Paddy Gaynor (Ballinagh), Kitty Clinton (Kilnaleck), Neal Tully (The Hatch). The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end of the month was Stephen O’Reilly (Kilsallagh). The winner of the weekend away for September is Michael Donohoe (Clonmahon) Next week's jackpot is €3300.Tickets can be bought in any local establishment.

Ciaran Brady

Best of luck to Ciaran ‘Jaffa’ Brady, son of Padraig and Pauline, who is partaking with his adopted club Glenfinn in the Donegal Intermediate Championship Final this coming Sunday at 4pm against Ballyshannon in Ballbofey. Ciaran lines out at full forward for Glenfinn and will be looking to draw on his experience from 2007’s Cavan and Ulster intermediate wins with his native Ballinagh.

The Yellow Submarines Underage Training:

Ballinagh Submarines training will continue on every Saturday morning from 10.30am till 11.30am at Ballinagh GAA Grounds. Any kids aged from 3years up till 6 years are more than welcome. This is a great opportunity for your child to have fun, social-interaction, meet new friends, and learn the basics of Gaelic Football, while being supervised in a safe environment  and coached by GAA coaches. Please spread the word, with new faces always welcome. Training for Under 8s and 10s will also take place on Saturdays at 10.30am till 11.30am, in where again the focus will be on fun, participation, and learning the fundamentals of Gaelic Football. The GAA is the heartbeat of communities, and is a great way to get involved in the local community, in where we welcome  everyone to the Ballinagh GAA club. A big thanks to the coaches who are giving their time on a Saturday morning to help develop and coach the future of Ballinagh GAA.

Tesco Community Fund

Ballinagh Juveniles are delighted to now be in the Tesco Token Community. When shopping in Tesco Cavan you will receive a blue token. You can then simply place the token into the collection box on the way out that has Ballinagh GAA on it. The tokens will work towards raising some much needed funds for our juvenile teams. There are currently boxes in the upper and lower Tesco in Cavan town. Any support is greatly appreciated

THE 15TH GALLANT 5KM/10KM CHALLENGE:

The Gallant 5km/10km Challenge in aid of St Christopher's Hospice Cavan takes place on Saturday 27th October 2018.  This event will start and finish at Mc Seains Bar Cornafean. Entry fee on the day to participate in the Challenge is voluntary. Registration for the Challenge takes place from 12 noon and Challenge kicks off at 1pm sharp. Anyone wishing to donate to this very worthy cause can do so by leaving donations in the Village Foodstore Crossdoney. All donations are greatly accepted. Sponsorship cards or information on the Challenge are available from St Christopher's Hospice 049-4332999, Ciaran Weir 086-0753309, William Hughes on 086-3584700 and Village Foodstore in Crossdoney.  Please come along and support this worthy cause.
