New Leitrim manager Terry Hyland has named a backroom team packed with experience for his first year in charge of the Connacht men.

Drumreilly native Gary Donohoe has been brought in as a selector, having won five Cavan senior championship titles as a player with Gowna before going on to guide the county’s minor footballers to a first Ulster minor championship success in 37 years in 2011.

Padraig McGourty (Glenfarne) joins his fellow Leitrim man as a selector after recently guiding Coolaney/Mullinabreena to a first Sligo SFC semi-final since 1990.

Former Cavan goal merchant Jason O’Reilly is also on board as team coach. The Belturbet man was recently linked with the vacant Breffni County post after Mattie McGleenan’s resignation and steered Cavan Gaels to their 14th senior championship crown 11 months ago.

Enda Lyons of Carrigallen is the team’s strength and conditioning coach while Shane Bohan, who has previously worked with Fermanagh and Sligo, has been confirmed as physiotherapist for 2019.
